BrandonW: If your calculator says "ROM FAIL" during the self test, then you've modified the OS somehow, and the OS checksum is now invalid because of it. The only side effect is that the self test gives you "ROM FAIL", as you've discovered. To fix it, re-send the OS.
Even thepenguin77 told me that the reactions or my TI are "Interresting"...
Calcdude is right resend the OS or just buy a new one.You mean BrandonW is. ;) And neither of us said that he should be buying a new calc.
What did you do to get your calc into this state anyways? No clue but from what BrandonW said, it's possible that the flash got corrupted by running bad ASM or Axe programs that messes with archived stuff. It might also be a problem with the calc.
DJ or anyone else:Run Aboutnam again. There should be an option to remove it.
How can I ged rid of the text I had added to the ABOUT-screen?
(with aboutnam)
I should really load this TI-killing-software on my TI again ? O.OWell, there aren't any other ways to remove it... Other than modifying the certificate manually. You should NEVER modify the certificate manually unless you're completely sure about what you're doing, as you might destroy your calculator forever.
If you tell me that I should make it... OK! I'll try it!
I can't find the dowload TiLP at the link.
So you will look at this pic. (i will delete in a minute)It think that's because he edited the pic in, and needed to bump it. Given the circumstances, I can relate.
