I am trying to download the OS 2.55MP to my calculator(yes I know it sucks). I need to get it to the calc so I can downgrade, but every time I put it on it freezes at validating.

Validating takes a while on boot code 1.03 (which I'm guessing you have), iirc it can get upwards of 10 minutes :/

Just realized that, my bad.

Pathetic. No reason for simple validation to be that slow. They should have asked me to write the code for them. ;)

There was no reason to use such large signing keys in the first place :/

TI wanted to take pre-emptive measures for when we get able to crack them.
By 2025, the TI-84 Plus series will use 65536 bits RSA keys.

You need to patch/downgrade your boot code. It's really quite funny: we only figured out that hacking the boot code was possible as a consequence of us researching ways to get around the new keys. Although, really, I've always felt that the best method would be to write an entirely new OS receiver, which we can do because there's a nearly unfixable bug in the OS. (According to BrandonW, fixing it would require removing the ability to send variables directly to the archive, or completely rewriting the entire variable receiving code.)

I finished downgrading last night and now I'm going to work on the game today.
