Title: CAS on CX Shenanigans
Post by: outerdawn on December 30, 2013, 03:07:28 pm
I've been using ndless on my CX for a long time. Then I discovered nlaunch, and instantly switched over, making derivatives/integrals/etc. a breeze. But now that I'm on winter break, I've thought extensively about either running ndless on 3.1 CAS, or dual booting CAS 3.2.3 and CX 3.1 with ndless. However, I've hit a snag.  D:

The nspire student software/computer link both determine OS based on hardware - so when I try to transfer CAS ndless to my calculator, it denies it. So my other route is not to single boot, but rather to dual boot.
My question is, will I be able to switch between CX and CAS without a computer while still running ndless?

Thanks, if you could PM me that would be fine too. If a mod could OK it, then would you be able to reveal the process?

Yep, it's considered cheating if you're gonna use your calcs for standardized tests. We do not encourage his practice, but I guess we can vaguely refer you to TI-Planet for that.

We can tell you nLaunch exists, but after that you're on your own.

Well, thanks for that tutorial, but that wasn't really my question - I forgot to mention that I have successfully dualbooted multiple times. My question was is there a way to preserve ndless between dual boots?

Yes, just keep ndless/ndless_resources.tns (and ndless/ndless.cfg.tns if you have file extensions set up) and it will work. If you're using nLaunchy, there's no need to transfer the installer file.
