I have just downloaded this game, Final Fantasy: Tales of Magic.
I followed all of the directions on the readme, but when the actual game starts, I get an error.
Why is that? It happens everytime, and I can't even play the game?
EDIT: I own a TI-84+, if that helps. And, the screen freezes at STARTING NEW GAME..., and the error reads: ERR: UNDEFINED

Oh this is one of the games that was made in the Pre-TI connect 1.5 era, which is the problem. grouped files made with older versions of TI connect or TI-Graph Link will corrupt when sent to newer calcs with the new TI Connect.
What I recommend is that if there are any 8xg files in the FFTOM folder, ungroup them directly on the computer (right click the file, then choose extract all. If this option isn't present then something wrong happened when you installed TI Connect and you're pretty much screwed), then send all files individually to the calculator (if the files were in the archive folder remember to send them to archive or RAM if the files were in the RAM folder). I have to do this with almost every BASIC games made in 2002 or before and almost all my games made before 2005 does that too. Blame TI for completly dropping backward compatibility with files sent with older softwares when they released TI Connect 1.5 and above

Yeah, I tried this once, it didn't work for me either :(

So, did you ever get this to work or no? I know I have had this on my calc in the past and I didn't have any problems with it.

I only got it to work fine with TI-Graph Link software on my first try. On TI Connect 1.6 it took me at least 2 tries and when I tried FFTOM2 I had an hard time transfering the group file that has weird pictures in it to my calc. Took me about 4 tries
