Title: Has anyone experienced this before?
Post by: Vsod99 on August 19, 2014, 08:52:33 pm
So my ti nspire calculator was booting, and then all of a sudden the screen started to get lighter. A lot lighter. Terrifyingly lighter. I thought for a second that it was going to explode so I hit the reset button.  *.* Everything went back to normal on next boot. It's not a problem anymore but I am curious if anyone else has experienced the same and what caused the problem.

I never had this happen, but I wonder if a magnet could have caused it? I don't know much about LCD architectures and component so I don't know if putting a magnet close to the screen could do anything.

I had something similar happen with my cellphone, though, but it was the opposite: The screen just got darker and darker for several seconds.

Just some LCD timing errors. Nothing bad, really. It happens occasionally if nLaunch is installed.

My friend has had it with an old laptop that was poorly taken care of, but it had some other serious problems.
