My ti connect is'nt working properly! And I was wondering if there is another software i can use? I really just need to update my calc software but it wont connect right. It keeps saying, Access Denied, or Not Connected
-
give your calc a ram clear and reboot your computer
-
I tried that but it didn't work. Is there another similar program to ti connect?
-
TILP hang on Ill post a link http://www.ticalc.org/archives/files/fileinfo/374/37481.html EDIT:
done

Where does it give you the error (when and how)? Make sure TI Connect recognizes your calculator first. Your calculator must be turned on and at the home screen.
As for alternatives, there's the third-party TiLP (http://lpg.ticalc.org/prj_tilp/), but to use it you must uninstall TI Connect completely first (since the drivers are incompatible).
Also, please give your threads relevant titles so people know if they can help you or not. I've also moved this topic to the right forum.

Thanks, Thanks ,and it gives the error when I start the transfers.
-
Huh. What calculator do you own, and what OS are you trying to transfer to it? Make sure it's the right OS (1.?? for TI-83 Plus, 2.** for TI-84 Plus).
-
ti 84 plus. and I am trying to get a program i made on it transferred to the computer
-
Oh. Make sure you're dragging-and-dropping to a folder on the computer you're allowed to modify.
-
Ok now it says 'the current transfer failed. a retry might be successful'
-
Did you retry?
-
Yes I retried it, but the same message comes up. I Honestly don't know whats wrong. I can transfer from the computer to the calc, but not from the calc to the comp
-
try using a different usb port
-
I tried but the same message came up.
-
do you have two calculators if so then transfer it to the other then try
-
I think TI-Connect uploads to C:\Windows before copying it wherever it needs to go, so make sure it's allowed to copy there. Just a guess. I really have no idea.
-
how should i go about doing that?
-
Deep, no, it doesn't. Saintrunner, don't. C:\Windows is a system folder, and TI-Connect should never touch it unless you ask it to.
Anyway, I'm surprised nobody linked thepenguin77's guide, found at http://www.omnimaga.org/index.php?action=articles;sa=view;article=76 (http://www.omnimaga.org/index.php?action=articles;sa=view;article=76).
Try following that.
Edit: I also made the topic title more descriptive.
