Hp prime vs Ti Nspire engineering university
« on: December 02, 2017, 12:42:29 am »
The other day I stole my ti-nspire calculator at the university. Ha if they reappear my doubts HP Prime vs. Ti-nspire.

Experience with ti-nspire

The good

You can name more variables as you want, for example calling a variable "F2" which is very comfortable and therefore discard versions like Hp50g or Ti-89.

it is not necessary to install a solve program, the calculator already has this

Thanks to Ndles and nPDF, pdfs can be displayed

thanks to the command ": =" you can save variables

The bad

it is not tactile the touch pad is horrible and it ends up damaging more keys of this

In systems of equations the variables come out in text format and it is very difficult then to extract those variables to use them

Its programming has been very limited and lara to make a simple program I had to search for my life

What I need?

-visualize pdfs in a simple way
-A mathematical programming in the calculator similar to Octave / Matlab to be able to make programs for my studies in engineering.
-A sheet of calculation type excell simple to handle (the Ti-Nspire is not bad but it is hard to work with her)
-My study is a chemical engineering, fluids (iterative programs) and balances of matter and energy (systems of equations)
-in my university in spain usually use the brand HP is more popular

Thanks in advance
