Title: IDList
Post by: JosJuice on December 12, 2010, 05:21:59 am
What is IDList? It appears on my calc when I use TI DeviceInfo, but I don't understand its purpose. I can't open it on-calc, but it seems like my calc ID is in IDList. Do other IDs appear in this list if I link and send IDs? Why is it useful to have a list of IDs? Did TI just decide to slap on another pointless feature? ???

I think it contains your calculator ID/serial or something. Each calc got an unique ID. Back when TI sold APPS, you registered your calc ID on their site and could re-download certain APPS for free (that originally came with the calc). I'm not sure if it had other uses, though.

The calc ID itself is stored in the certificate. The one in IDList is just a copy of the ID.

Sometimes when I link my calculator a list called RESID gets created. What is the purpose of this list? It says in the manual that this list is related to the calc's ID.

It is? ???

I thought it was for stat calculations (as in residual). Not sure what it's for, though.

Yeah, from what I know RESID is from Stats calculations.
Also, interesting fact: by the VAT, IDList is L@ :D
