Hello everyone. I am trying to install OS 3.1 on my ti-nspire cx cas (which currently has OS 3.0.2) but I can't find out how. (I'd like to install ndless, but I can't use 3.2 for that) Any help will be greatly appreciated.
Sorry if I seem stupid, I'm new to this kind of stuff.
Thanks!

If you have the Nspire student software (or the smaller-but-free (and smarter at that :P) computer link) it should be able to do it. I'm told that TiLP can do it, too.
You can get the OS (in this case 3.1) from here (http://tiplanet.org/forum/archives_list.php?id=OS+Nspire).
With TI's software, there should also be an option to send the OS, under Tools I think. After connecting the calc just navigate to the file and bam :)
With TiLP I think you can just drag-and-drop.
Then for ndless see http://ndlessly.wordpress.com/ndless-user-guide :D

Actually, only the student or teacher software (not the computer link) can install Ndless.

Thank you everyone for all of your help! It worked out perfectly! Thanks!

The recently released 3.2 TINCLS probably supports CX and CM calculators, doesn't it ?

== TI-Nspire Computer Link Software?
It works great with my CX. It's actually kept working after the Student Software gave out for no apparent reason :P (it refuses to detect the calc, while in the Link you can manually select it a la Ti-Connect)

Yeah, TI-Nspire Computer Link Software :)
I haven't been precise enough, shame on me. What I meant to ask was, does TINCLS 3.2 (either the 123 or 124 build, they're unlikely to be much different) support several things that TINCLS 1.4 didn't, e.g. taking screenshots from a CX / CM (the 16 bpp calculators) or recognizing CM OS upgrades (.tmo and .tmc) as such ?

(build 123)
Taking the screen shots are supported, there's even a dedicated tab for it. (turns out thing like below)
The tmo wasn't recognized, but then it prolly knows it's a cx rather than a cm..?

Yeah, probably.
