kind of new in calc community and i would like help with these please.
the questions kind of should be obvious.
mostly how (h) , is that real/possible (itr) , what the (wtf), who (w), why would you/when would you need to (wwy)

135. ( explain Blod please ) To get them back for it, you quickly punch in the hex code to activate BLOD on their calc (ok, so never do at all. what does the asm code tell it to do? )
139. You laugh as your friend gets his ipod taken away for watching video clips, then you pretend to do some calculations as you watch a dithered version of "The Matrix": lobby scene. ( how do you watch videos? i know its black and white with bad quality so don't mention that )
112: You have memorized the numbers to sign your 3rd party OS ( will i never need to do this? )
57- (has this been done yet?) You have networked several calc's together to compute fractals faster
33- (h) The USB port is used for USB flash drive
20- (wdift) You have a dictionary in your calculator for English class (can anyone give me a link to tese two?)

@166, brandon said sometrhing along the lines that something like the TI-Nspire OS could be done for the 84+. Maybe it would be slower, but it would fit. His reasoning was because the TI-Nspire is filled with unused crap that TI did not remove (note, they use someone elses' software for the most part, Nucleus, or something like that), which is what makes the TI-Nspire OS this large. Also the TI portion of the code is very unoptimized if I remember.
This seems a bit like spam, though x.x you may want to clarify the stuff into questions more maybe

I think over 4 gigabytes in a flash drive, the FS is set up differently or something...or it might have to do with the 8bit cpu *shrugs*

Anywho, anything you hear about calcs connecting to the internetz or being a cellphone is bull$hit

I am certain it could eventually be possible, though, through Bluetooth (/me points at BrandonW and ThePenguin77). It wouldn't be very practical, though, unless it's possible to use a wi-fi connector or something, because otherwise having to be near a computer to connect your calc to the net would defeat the purpose of on-calc web. It would be cool, though, if we could download calc games directly from the internet to the calc.

I told Brandon Wilson that if he writes me a WiFi driver for the calculator, I would write a YouTube viewer.

actually, i have seen a video of 57. a guy put 2 calcs together, using some sort of ASM lib to manage the connection. he was computing a mandelbrot almost twice as fast as a single calc could.

20: DetachedSolutions made a spellchecker called DAWG (http://detachedsolutions.com/DAWG/). Don't know if there's a dictionary, though. It might not even be possible with just 160KB.
21: Similarly, DS made OurWorld (http://detachedsolutions.com/OurWorld/), which is a (pretty impressive) world atlas.
112: The signing key was cracked a few years ago (and led to a whole onslaught of pointless DMCA notices by TI), so if you have the numbers (which are available at Brandon Wilson's website (http://brandonw.net/), you can sign a personal third-party operating system for the calculator.
135: The Blue Lines of Death (http://www.unitedti.org/forum/index.php?showtopic=1141) trick is a moderately dangerous function where you overheat your calculator's LCD to spill its liquid crystals, which appear blue.

They were actually cracked last Summer. There is a thread on UTI somewhere and some ticalc.org news from shortly after Omnimaga 2009 contest got announced.

THis is an old Omnimaga tradition started by Spellshaper in 2006. He said to a new member to not forget to grab peanuts at the entrance, then it somehow became a local meme. So much that later that year a peanut emoticon was created, later replaced by the old peanut bag. For some reasons, the tradition was transmitted to the new board in late 2008, despite a 8 months without Omnimaga existing. I guess it helped some members like Art Of Camelot and Speler were still around when we reopened :P

Those questions were grabbed from a new thread in Randomness called Signs that you are addicted to Omni and calcs :P. He was curious about some of them if they were possible or true and asked in another thread :P

Also you might need the www. at the beginning. Certain sites do that x.x. The worst thing is when the opposite happens. (like TIMGUL in its early days)

Yeah. I think that was between 2003 and 2006, back when TI had an APP store on their site. Then I believe the APP was re-released on DS website. The "good" 'ol days :P

Well, maybe the earlier OSes could not link Apps. I wasn't around, though, so I wouldn't know.

Rather, IIRC, the apps were transferable, but you couldn't run them because they were "registered" to a certain calculator, so to speak. There were also apps with trial periods, believe it or not.

i wouldn't do that but i expect most people would.
The app was not sendable from calcs to others. It said ERR:VALIDATION. The lucky people who had a copy of DAWG from before it went paid could send the APP from a calc to another, though.

Oops... okay, but the basic point of "you can't use it on the second calc" was still in place. No bother sending something that you wouldn't be allowed to run anyway. :P I am pretty sure about the trial-period apps, though.
