I still have TiConnect installed and I've tried like 6 different cables, but my ti84 plus calculator just wont come up. It is still seen as an unknown device. What do I need to do?
-
Is it turned on?
maybe RAM clear, reboot computer, battery change?
-
Wow right as i read this post, it popped up....thanks anyways!
Actually i think ill just look for a new one, what do you suggest?
-
lol things always seem to do that... :)
Actually i think ill just look for a new one, what do you suggest?
EDIT: ? what?
-
This calculator (ti 84 plus) has given me a lot of trouble, do u suggest i buy a different one?
-
what kind of trouble?
-
It doesnt connect properly, I want more archive and RAM space, and so on.
-
With connecting: do you have the latest OS?
Archive and RAM space are same on all 84+s, so buying a new one wouldn't solve that.
Unless you bought a SE, it has a lot more Archive on it.
-
Should I upgrade to the SE?
-
In my opinion: yes, if you have the money. :)
(but that's just my opinion)
-
What is the price for one?
-
Like around $110. Depends on where you are and what store you go to. If there's a WalMart that would probably be the best price.
-
Ok thanks, Ill check it out!

I have trouble with my 84+SE too.
I just garbage collect and clear Sabrina's ram and she is fine.
(and turn off zstart, mathprint, and doors)
-
Usually Garbage Collect can fix some TI-Connect troubles. Not all the time, though. Usually for me TI-Connect will detect my calc, then another day it won't. It seems random and any existing TI calc will do that.

I know switching to TiLP can solve some of these issues ( although you trade them for others ).
Usually a garbage collect/ram clear is what is needed. Sometimes rebooting your computer will also help.
