You should wait.
There is no Ndless 3.x yet.
There is no* way to downgrade a calc with an unpatched 3.x operating system.
There is only time.

Spoiler For *:
By this I mean simple way, I think I recall something about using the dock to downgrade it, but this requires extra equipment
An RS232 interface, actually.

Or even this cool thing, called an Arduino :

(works under Linux)

The Arduino is a cool device which has many usages besides a RS232-USB interface, e.g. a CALCnet bridge, but for the purposes of being an RS232-USB interface, it's more expensive than RS232-TTL-3V3, EVAL-RS232R or similar cables :D

I just wanted to say that it is more polivalent (more possible things) since there are, on omnimaga, many hackers.
Being able to flash and make cool things not totally related to the Nspire is really intersting for me, besides the price.

Wait the arduino can also do it? Because a bunch of us probably have one by now, such as Juju, especially since last Winter when Global CALCnet came out. That could be a good alternative.

No we don't have any secret.

Ndless 3.0 does *not* exist at all for now, not even in an alpha version.

3.x OSes / Boot2 are full of watchdogs which will force the calculator into rebooting when something abnormal is detected for a certain period (when you manage to take control on the hardware over the OS for example).

Ndless 3.0 probably won't even be out this year, seeing how TI has protected the 3.x versions. You should better develop/use Lua programs, or move to Casio Prizm.

Sorry, but it will be useless for you to ask again for Ndless 3.0 tomorrow, next week, or even next month... The answer will probably be the same.

It's very hard and if you want it out sooner, you should join and help with its development if you are able to... There is no other way.
I was looking for a Fuzzing framework on the web for ARM based code so that I can look for my own bugs , but
could not find any - mostly x86 based. I may have to write my own framework for bug hunting

We can't just disable the watchdog using this? Or does the watchdog kick in before we even gain control at all?

Just curious - are the CX and non-color Nspires' RSA keys the same or different?

* the CX have new RSA keys, and they're even longer: 2048 bits.
* Clickpad, Touchpad and lab cradle models use the same Blowfish key; the CX, CX CAS, CM, CM CAS use unique Blowfish keys per {model, OS version} tuple.

I've got a question:
Does the 84+keypad for the nspire have any "anti gaming" stuff built in?  Can I still use apps like mirage os and omnicalc?
the inner machinations of my mind are an enigma...

The keypad itself does not contain anti-gaming stuff, but TI's 84+SE emulator is slow and incomplete. A number of 84+ programs cannot work on it. I don't remember whether MirageOS and Omnicalc are among them, I'm no TI-Z80 expert.

The normal version of MirageOS doesn't work because it uses undocumented instructions. I'm not sure if Omnicalc works, but it's known to have very bad compatibility with MathPrint OSes.

So is there a special version of Mirage that I should get?
