Title: Nspire CX running CAS 3.6 + Ndless?
Post by: KazWolfe on January 20, 2015, 02:41:09 pm
Hello everyone!

So, I recently discovered that the CAS OS 3.6 is incompatible with the CX calculators, even with nLaunchy.

From what I understand (https://github.com/Excale/nLaunchy/issues/4), this is because the 3.6 OS does a hardware check to see if the device is really a CAS system.

However, there must be a way to override this in the code or emulate the proper hardware.

I really have three questions here:

1. Has such a thing been done already? If so, where do I get it?
2. Where would I start if I need to do it myself?
3. Can you guys help me?

Thanks!!

The only way I can think of is a OS patch.
But then again, I don't have an nspire and don't know much of its internal design :P
