[00:36:45] <Darl181> kind of a problem here
[00:36:53] <+Su-Chan> ?
[00:37:00] <Darl181> omnicalc isn't installing stuff correctly
[00:37:04] <Darl181> and I just re-sent it
[00:37:48] <Darl181> I checked both "hide finance app" and "quick apps" and it shows a blank 1: in the apps menu
[00:37:53] <Darl181> ram clear didn't fix
[00:39:30] <+Runer112> umm
[00:39:36] <+Runer112> is your calc an 84+SE
[00:39:49] <Darl181> the stuff worked before
[00:39:57] <Darl181> yes, it has the extra ram pages
[00:40:05] <Darl181> 84 pbe
I try running the empty 1: (where Finance normally is) and it throws a validation error.
As far back as TWHG, I've been using this feature and it worked fine until tonight.
btw if I try loading the apps menu using a custom font it freezes ???
Thanks in advance.
EDIT: I've tried re-sending the OS via TiLP and it refuses to send, so no fix that way :(
-
I renamed your topic to add the bit about the TiLP issue.
-
Ok thanks, but TiLP being screwy is kind of an old problem tho :P
Like, it still refuses to send even an 8xp.
I also captured the (very descriptive) error, the first one (with tha calc at the homescreen).
Second one is from the DEL trick.
btw before the error in the second one popped up another error had already popped up telling me to turn the calc on.
EDIT: apparently something got renamed on its own, and the os became an app. idk how that happened
-
Is that the computer with the weird parental control thing that screws everything up?
-
idk, but TI mislabeled a certain DL link (labeled 2.55 as 2.43) and now it won't let me send back 2.43 because of some "invalid window parameter"
head→desk^1000
-
Hmm are you sure? What is the download URL?
-
I had tried google and found some TI site talking about singapore, with dl links
Now I'm trying to send the one linked at http://ourl.ca/7373
EDIT
Okay, something's really weird now...
Whenever I turn on the calc it says ERR:LINK with options to Goto or quit. Goto just goes to the homescreen.
-
Hmm, if I recall correctly, I had problems installing OSes too with TILP :(
-
Well, it seems TiLP is trying to send the OS, and it kind of works, there's just an invalid parameter or something. Ram clear doesn't fix...
Btw after something like 10 minutes of experimenting with mathprint I got a blue screen. Pulled battery, put back in, turned on, still blue.
Nice, stable OS :P

I'm going to assume that you've backed up everything already. If not, do it! (I mean EVERYTHING - including archived programs, apps, etc. and app vars if you are using Axe Parser's backup feature.)
Then, clear your ENTIRE memory. Usually, something screws up in the archive portion, so core parts of the calculator stop working or act very quirky. Once that's done, transfer 2.43 over and hopefully it'll work. :)
-
I believe a GarbageCollect might fix the Err: Link. :) Good luck! ;D
-
Garbage collect got rid of the link thing ;D
I'm guessing that's pretty common then.
EDIT: ok, I'm really confused right now, all I did was garbage collect and it sends the OS properly ???
EDIT2: Running 2.43 and the apps menu thing is (as of right now) working properly.
