Hello guys,
Here I am again with a TI-Nspire CX question:
Is it already possible to open .pdf documents and preform a search inside the document on my TI-Nspire CX?
~Anna
(sorry again for my English...)

You could get mviewer (http://ourl.ca/15229) on your calculator and then convert the pdf into png, jpeg or bmp, and then send the picture to your calculator
You won’t be able to search it, though. Although this sounds similar to a recent post by someone who wanted to search a pdf during a test in order to cheat

I already have Mviewer, but thanks.

That's not me...
I have also heard of running linux on the Nspire.
Could you run a (custom) .pdf reader on linux on the Nspire? Maybe that could work?

(as usual: sorry for my English ;D)

I think it'd be possible to run a pdf viewer on nspire, but it would be very hard to write one.
And your english is OK, no need to apologize :)

If searching isn't that important and you need pictures, you could save it as a picture and view it with mviewer (as mentioned above).
If you only need the text, you could copy the text to a .txt file and open and search that with nTxt (http://ourl.ca/17190/332298) (by me).
If you need both, you could use Linux. I think someone said that there are existing pdf viewers which shouldn't need modifications to run on calculator Linux. You could ask in the Linux help thread (http://ourl.ca/17509).

You can now just convert your images and PDF files online :

You don't need Ndless anymore ;)

don't we have nPDF now?
or is that not jet realeased?
-
Yes, but nPDF requires ndless, which only works on OS 3.1...
-
For the moment the first public nPDF build is a great achievement, but is neither stable, nor user friendly.
We've waiting for the next update.
And even if Ndless 3.2.4 was being released, it would probably get blocked by TI again in a couple of months.
In the current context, nPDF cannot be a long term solution.

I think the first version of npdf is great! When do you think would be published the second version?
I have seen that the library of mupdf is used. Is it possible to get the source code? I have downloaded it from the normal webpage, but if i compile the file docviewer.h of npdf, i get the error that the file memory.h doesn't exist. For the compilation i use "ndless-v3.1-beta-r848-sdk". Maybe someone can help me.
Thank you in advance!
