Post by: kyllopardiun on August 24, 2010, 04:25:42 pm
Hello, I tried to send those files to my calculator by the link program, and I haven't any lucky yet (with the nspire pad)

Then, I tried to send with the 84 plus pad, and I got a  "xmit_error" after chooshing :
link -> receive -> send to ti device

Sorry for being a noob here in the forum.

Hi,

could you tell which software were you using to transfer the files? TI-Connect or TiLP?

Also, to send TI-83+/84+ files to your TI-Nspire, you need to use the TI-84 Plus keypad. Note that you also need OS 1.2 or higher to send TI-84 Plus files to your TI-Nspire in 84+ mode, otherwise both TI-Connect and TiLP will recognize your calculator as a TI-89.

Hi,

I have both TI-Connect and TiLP, to send files to Nspire i normally use the link program,
but it doesn't detect while my calculator is with the TI-84 Plus keypad,
so I tried to send those files with ->right click over the file, then send to TI Device, and i don't know exactly which program has this feature, but my guess is the TI Connect.
The OS in the calculator is N Spire 1.7
and the TI Connect do recognize my calculator as a TI 84 plus.

I hope isn't missing any information now.

Yeah it's TI-Connect. In that case, you need to use Send to TI Device. Make sure to turn off the calc then turn it back ON before clicking send to ti device. Afterward if it still doesn't work, then I am not sure what is happening, though. you may want to wait until someone can find an answer. TI-Connect can give over 9000 different errors :( (in my case, it told me my mem was full on a 49 KB APP' when I had 99 KB free)

Sometimes uninstalling then reinstalling TI Connect solves those kind of problems.

You dont need to click recieve on the 84 keypad, just send while on the homescreen
