Title: Student software problems

I’m having a problem with my software. when i plug in my calc to the computer and open the software i dont see my calc pop up it says “connectivity with TI-Nspire handhelds is unavailable”, its a ti-nspire cx. Any suggestions?

Hmm.  Have you tried pressing the reset button?  It basically just re-boots the calculator so you don't need to worry about losing files.

Did you plug in your calc before installing the software? That can cause problems. Otherwise, when you plugged the calc, did it show a notice at the bottom of the computer screen saying that it's searching for drivers or that the perhipheral has installed correctly?

If it did not show any notice at all, then it means that when you plugged the calc and turned it ON, the computer did not detect anything being plugged in. I don't know how to fix those connections issues, though (other than the stuff I mentionned above)

Everything is connected properly, as for the first time I installed the software I didn't plug in the calc before it was installed.

This message means something's wrong on the computer side. Sometimes because of multiple Java processes being frozen or something.
Try rebooting.

Sorry for not explaining that. TiLP is the linking program I've been using for ages. (like, I used ti-connect 2 times then went TiLP all the way)
