I just got myself a TI-84+ for my math class. Now when trying to use TI Connect with it, the only thing that seems to work is the DeviceExplorer. I cannot send anything, the error "The device does not recognize the command. (80070016)" everytime i try to send MirageOS. Whenever i try to go to DeviceInfo on TI Connect, my calculator restarts and clears RAM. This is a fresh new calculator with nothing else on it. It looks like everything else on the calculator works. I've tried reinstalling TI Connect, clearing RAM, reinstalling USB drivers, tilup (or whatever it is), complete reinstallations of everything. It can recognize my calculator as a TI-84+ but nothing works. Anyone have any ideas?

Bump-
Anything anyone?

Have you already tried to put your calculator into recieve mode?
([2nd][link][>][ENTER])
That solves a lot of problems for me.
Also if you installed TiLP, have you deleted it afterwards? the drivers interfere with each other <_<
-
Wow, feel free to bump your posts much earlier than this. To be honest, if you waited exactly one day, no one would be angry.
But, in any case, here's (http://www.omnimaga.org/index.php?action=articles;sa=view;article=76) my tutorial on ti-connect. Take a shot at it and tell us if it works.

^that.
By the way, if you plan to stay you should introduce yourself (http://www.omnimaga.org/index.php?board=10.0)

Tried it, didn't work. And yeah, i completely deleted it. It didn't work before i installed TiLP anyway.

I just figured it was still pretty high up on the page, someone would answer it. Guess not xD
Already tried you're guide, still nothing.

What's your computer setup? (x32/x64, Windows xp/vista/7)

The problem is that it depends which board it's in. You are correct, if this was in one of the projects boards or the language specific boards (where it shouldn't be), it would have been noticed. But out here in general calculator help, there's not that much traffic.
Also, if you do manage to fix this yourself, don't just drift off into oblivion, let us know what you did. This comic sums it up pretty well because we've all been there:

Win7 64x
But lol, i will, i have experienced that many times.
-
Ah, then you have a unique problem. I say that because typically the problems come from windows xp x86.
You're going to have to look for your solution in a different way. Other than that, I really have nothing to offer. (I still point to batteries :P)
-
Assuming this is still not solved, did you make sure that your version of TI-Connect is 1.6.1, not 1.6? Because most TI-84+ CDs still come with 1.6, meaning some people probably use that, and 1.6 had troubles running on 64-bit systems (not sure about Windows 7 itself), which the 1.6.1 patch fixes.

I have found that a common factor in a lot of these complaints is that all the users have an app such as MirageOS. Try removing MirageOS and it should fix the problem. I think that MirageOS is trying to sort the programs and TI-Explorer doesn't understand what is going on. When I removed MirageOS it seemed to fix the problem.

I FIGURED IT OUT!!!! :hyper: :hyper: :hyper: all you need to do is delete all your programs...yes i know it sounds like the opposite of what you want to do; delete them all in device explorer, once they're all gone, transfer ALL of the programs you want AT ONCE, you will have to select them all and transfer them at the same time...for some odd reason, it doesnt like to install them one at a time... thats it... worked for me..took me a few hours to figure this out so i thought Id share with everyone having the same problem since this solution doesnt seem to be on any forums...PLEASE SHARE THIS WITH OTHER THREADS

You deserve some cookies! I've had similar problems sending apps using the ti connect program. I'll check this out once i can find my calculator...somewhere...lol

I had the same problem and i fixed it by reseting both the RAM and archive.
-
Yep, here in 2018 deleting MirageOS still works. I didn't need to reset the RAM/ARC or anything like that.

I don't work with TI-84s, but it seems like you have to reset your files on your calculator and update the TI-Connect software in order for any files you want to be sent over to the calculator(send all the programs at one time though).
-
by reset all files how do i do that? is it like clearing memory and ram because I have tried that already soo

From http://www.tvmcalcs.com/index.php/calculators/faq/ti84_faq :
Q: How can I completely reset my TI 84 Plus back to the factory default settings?
A: Be careful with this as it will remove any programs that you may have stored in the calculator. With that disclaimer stated, here's how to reset it:
Press 2nd MEM (that is the second function of the + key)
Choose 7 (Reset)
Scroll right so that ALL is selected
Press 1
Press 2 (Reset, and read the warnings)
Note that it is possible that a reset may affect the contrast of your screen. If necessary, you can change the contrast of the screen on the TI-84 by pressing 2nd and then the up arrow (or down arrow) button. You may have to do this repeatedly.
