General information:
TI 84+ Silver Edition (the so-called "Teachers Edition" with the extra plug at the upper side)
Hardware version: 3
Boot version: 1.02
OS version: 2.4.0
Problem:
Sending OS 2.4.3 using TI Connect failed: missing certificate
Sending OS 2.4.3 using TiLP failed: NACK received. Cause: the command has been refused
*both stoped before it started to receive the OS.
Current situation:
Tried to directly send OS 2.4.3 from another device.
But failed after receiving the OS - Validation Error
Now it's like Waiting... Please install operating system now
Anyone got another idea what I could do to fix it?
-
maybe OS 2.53MP or 2.55MP will work, and then you can install unsigned to remove validation cert. stuff
-
So installing 2.5.5 on another device and then send it to that one?
*Since it's still at Waiting... Please install operating system now it can't connect to my computer
-
you can connect it just neither tilp nor ticalc "see" the calc so you send it "blindly"
-
Both programs somehow still remembered the last session with the TI 84+ Silver Edition and were acting as if it was still connected - but had no access to it. Same results for 2.5.5 and 2.4.3. Results below.
The cable cannot be used.
cause: the cable has not been
initialized due to a prevours/current
error.
Unable to send ...\TI83Plus_OS.8Xu. Please try again.
Is there any trick or something behind sending a file "blindly" as you mentioned?
-
then just do it with another calc xD
-
And how can I make sure it won't just be a Validation error again...?
*I would prefer to know before ruining another device with that crappy new OS :-\
Edit: Using different linking cables also didn't change anything. (retried sending "blindly")

Hey p2, long time no see. Hope you're doing well. As to your question, I'm not really sure. There's probably a topic floating around about it here somewhere, but I can't recall at the moment. If your certificate is messed up I seem to recall that it can cause some issues. Brandon W or the thepenguin77 might have some insight.

So I have to focus on fixing that stupid certificate now?
Maybe there's some way to somehow reset the certificate or send a working certificate from another device...?
@Art_of_camelot: I'm fine, thx :) Hungry for cookies and tired as always ^^
