Title: TI Link 1.3 wont install (usb error)
Post by: joshuazh on April 11, 2010, 10:24:11 pm
I recently downgraded my old ti nspire version from os 2.0 to os 1.1, and I uninstalled ti link 1.4 because it wouldnt work with Ndless.
Now ti link 1.3 wont install :'(
Photo of it attached.

Did you try rebooting your system? Just making sure that was covered.

Did you uninstalled 1.4 first before installing 1.3?

If this still fails, maybe a system recovery from a previous system restore point is required.

Start->Accessories->System Tools->System Restore

Check the "Show more restore points" option then restore from prior the date you installed TI Link Software 1.4. Note that all your system and program settings will be reset to this date too, so backup first!

Since TI-Nspire Link Software has problems running on Windows 7 64 Bits, if this is the 64 Bit version you got, you may also need to do this:

I hope this helps.

Also welcome here :)

Altough we understand you are happy try to not abuse caps lock too much though since it's harder to read :)

This is nice to know, though, glad he could help. I remember with TI-Connect, transfer would start failing on my 84+Nspire mode, and unplugging the calc and plugging it again solved the issue.

I'll leave this topic open, though, in case somebody else in the future may have further problems on such issue.

By not recognize do you mean it threw an error, or did it just not do anything at all? Either way, glad you got it to work.
