Title: TI nspire cx (non-cas) Red screen problem
Post by: vhrks on February 29, 2020, 06:51:21 am

1. Not my calc. I just got it for fix
2. It is non-cas. It seems like somebody put some Linux stuff on it.
3. If I upload the 4.5.2 for non-cas, it comes out with red screen.
4. If I try to upload 4.5.0 for non-cas, the computer says "YOU CAN NOT DOWNGRADE!"
5. [DOC][ENTER][EE] works. I tried factory format also.
6. [ESC][MENU][MINUS] does not works. That made me too hard for charge, but I solved charging problems.

What should I do for boot? I can not even boot. Need some help.

So far as I know, upgrading to 4.5.2 was a bad idea. You had to have had ndless for any of this, and ndless doesn't work on 4.5.2.

I looked at the Reddit thread and they asked a question that you never followed up on: do you have a serial device, like an Arduino ? Maybe you can use that (I have no idea how).

Note: I know very little about any of this. Critor on tiplanet is far more knowledgeable (I think Critor modified my nspires, actually). All I do know is that once people were on 4.5.2, they were fricked.

I had this problem too, but It happened after downgrading to 4.2 (I used BtMg to reset "minOS" before).
I fixed it by upgrading my nspire back to 4.5.
But I donĀ“t know how you can reset "minOS" without any working OS.  :-\
