Title: TI Nspire CX CAS Indefinite Integral problem
Post by: zatro on April 06, 2016, 04:04:36 pm
I'm trying to solve an indefinite integral problem using my TI Nspire.  There are some problems I can solve with no issues, however there are other problems that don't seem to give the correct answer.  I believe this is because I'm entering the problem wrong into the calculator.  For example, (http://i.imgur.com/RwoGaRp.png) shows the problem and the correct answer.  When I try to solve it with the TI Nspire I get this, (http://imgur.com/06ZtxbH.png) Completely different answer.  What is the proper way to enter this problem into the calculator?

Thanks for you help!

Both answers are the same, (4x-20)^6 = (4*(x-4))^6 = 4^6 * (x-4)^6 = 4096 * (x-4)^6

Do you see now how they are bothe the same?
