Can the plastic screenguard on the Ti Nspire CX be replaced? I ask this because mine has been scratched to hell and I would love to be able to replace it.

It is removable, but replacing it would definitely require sending to TI for fixing. A number I found via the TI facebook page on a similar post on replacing the plastic screen is this: 1-800-842-2737
Judging from the comment, it is definitely replaceable, you're in luck! :)

Now the question is: Would they refurbish my entire calculator? I really don't want an OS upgrade nor a newer hardware revision...

That is something I cannot confirm, give a call and ask them. Such a question shouldn't pose any problems ;)

Ok, I will do so tomorrow. Thanks for your response!

What's this screenguard we're talking about? Is it the cover or is it some other accessory?

The screenguard is the plastic top covering the LED screen. So the plastic cover you can smudge with your fingerprints and scratch with keys.
Shiny, constantly wiped by me XD

If they can replace the screen guard for cheaper (labor work included) than giving you a refurbished or brand new calc then I guess they will just replace it, but I fear that TI is shady enough to upgrade your calc without your permission >.<

To prevent/delay community members from using Ndless? :P

I don't think that would be the reason why they would give a brand new calc (as DJ_O said, I think they would do it more to save money) but it would be a consequence.

Are there screen protectors available for the Nspire by the way? Preferably not from TI, because TI would probably charge $79.99 each, but it could be handy for some people.

There indeed are, a quick search on Google reveals quite a few actually, the most common being around $6 for one.

Ok thanks. I wasn't sure if they made them for stuff other than smartphones.
