Title: TI-problems
Post by: njaddison on November 10, 2011, 04:50:58 pm
Hey, guys, i didn't want to say anything off topic on another post, so i started my own. i am having troubles with my ti-84s at home, including my ti-84 keypad for my nspire. Ti-connect won't show my device. Also, when i try to put mirage os on my 84 keypad, it reboots and clears the ram. I have tried freeing space, but it always does the same thing every time. and Tilp becomes unresponsive alot of the time, and I have to close it out.
Please help meeeeee!!!!!!!!!!

hey, i moved your topic to a more suitable board, as you posted it in an area reserved for discussing new games or tools.

i don't know much about the nSpires, but i do know that Ti-connect is a very finicky character. for example:
it often just doesn't work for, seemingly, no reason, and
it won't work at all if you have TILP drivers installed, which you seem to have.
TI-connect also interferes with TILP, so you should choose one of them, and remove the other entirely. i would go with TILP, as i've not had any problems with it after setup.
someone else can probably assist you in removing TI-connect.

MirageOS won't run on the Nspire w/84+ Keypad as-is due to reasons you might not understand.
Anyway, you can either transfer MirageOS (v1.2) and the run the program found in http://brandonw.net/calcstuff/mospatch.zip (http://brandonw.net/calcstuff/mospatch.zip) to patch it, or you can just use DoorsCS, which can be downloaded from http://www.ticalc.org/archives/files/fileinfo/430/43068.html (http://www.ticalc.org/archives/files/fileinfo/430/43068.html).
I recommend the latter.

Actually it's still in the wrong section. :P It should be in general calc help. Actually people arent even supposed to be able to post here, but for some reasons the board settings were messed up after I left.
