So I've had WabbitEmu for a bit now but never could figure out how to put a calculator skin on it. At first I didn't think it was possible and that you had to use the keyboard shortcuts but then I saw one of SirCmpwn's videos for his TI Developer (http://ourl.ca/4638/87785;topicseen#new) program and saw it was possible. Would anyone be able to help here?

It comes with skins by default. Right click the screen, Calculator, Enable Skin. In options you can also get rid of the window border
-
Hmmm, well dang. Every time I try that it says the skin and keymap are not the same size :(
-
strange, maybe a bad or unsupported ROM x.x
you may have to poke Buckeye on IRC and file a bug report
-
Hmmm, maybe. I could try redumping my ROM to see if that helps any. I'll try that tomorrow. Thanks :)
-
How recent is the wabbitemu? may be it's one of the updates that had corrupted skin? Alhough it is more likely to be ROM.
-
Well it's WabbitEmu2 but that's all I know. I got it from the direct link we had in the download section.
-
What are your computer specs and OS, btw?
-
Oh, if this was from our download section then There shouldnt be any problem with wabbitemu. Again check your ROM and see if that fixes thd problem or not.
-
What computer specs are you asking about? I'm using Windows XP.
I will try creating a new ROM soon.
-
computer specs such as processor speed, RAM, video card
-
Genuine Intel(R) CPU
2160 @ 1.8GHz (Two.)
1.79 GHz, 3.25 GB of RAM
NVIDIA GeForce 9500 GT 1Gb
-
mhmm ok, normally this should be fine. Idk what's wrong x.x
-
Well I shall tell what happens after I redo a ROM.
Another thing, could it be because it is a 84+ ROM?
-
nah cuz normally WabbitEmu can emulate 84+ ROMs. Idk if the WabbitEmu build in the archives can run 2.53 MP, tho, if this is what you got
-
Nah, I have 2.43. Hmmmm, well this sucks lol. What is the software to get an 84+'s ROM? I can't remember.
-
Rom8x
-
Oh ya. Thanks.
-
I reported this to Buckeye
-
Oh, sweet. Thank you :)
-
It's happening to me too. I use Windows Vista (it sucks), and the only ROM that doesn't create that size difference error is the TI-83 Plus Silver Edition one.
-
Did you try the latest Wabbitemu version at http://wabbit.codeplex.com ?
EDIT: Mhmm there appears to be two builds now: http://wabbit.codeplex.com/releases/view/44625
I wonder if the Visual Studio one could solve the issues?
-
I'm using the developer build. Do you know if this is the same one?
Anyway, I'll try it.
EDIT: Wow, it just happens to be 1337 KB in size. Weird.
EDIT2: Nice. Every time there's a new version, they add a new tab to the Options section.
-
AND IT WORKS! :D
You don't need the Visual Studio build. The normal one has perfect skins.
There's still a problem with loading new ROMs, though. This was the same as with the previous version: whenever I load a new ROM, it doesn't change immediately. I have to open a new calculator for the change to take effect.
EDIT: Oooh, now there's customizable shortcut keys.
-
Not so sure. All I know is that it has been updated regulary even since RevSoft went down, but I did not keep track of new updates afterward, since I had no problem with the one I had.
The following build is several months old, but it was the latest official one that could be posted in the downloads section. I wonder if it was the one from before the XP skin issues started? http://www.omnimaga.org/index.php?action=downloads;sa=view;down=488 if not then I guess you may have to ask BuckeyeDude for an even older build (I remember the 2007 one still had skin support for XP)
EDIT: LOL At the file size o.O
I literally laughed when I saw it x.x
It reminds me how I tried to make sure my Axe Parser game called Eat Nethams compiled exactly to 666 bytes
EDIT 2: You might want to avoid double-posting when there is small amount of time between both posts (under 6 hours), because the forum will mark edited posts as new (if it's still the last topic post) anyway ;). As for the ROM issue, I don,t know if Buckeye plans on fixing it soon. I hope he does since it gets quite annoying at times x.x
(There's also a new feature to make some sort of tool-assisted speedruns :P)

It would help if someone filed a bug report telling me the issue. I tend to forget all the things i break :P
