Title: {AP} userbar generator bug
Post by: Stefan Bauwens on March 18, 2011, 05:04:11 pm
In my signature I have my myst89 progress bar, but every time I want to edit the percentage it does it but the picture itself still remains the same with the old percentage. When I edit it again it says its the 'new' percentage but the picture doesn't change.
So I basically have to make every time a new one to change the percentage.
Anyone know of this bug, or isn't it one and am I forgetting something?

Why not create a whole new userbar? I think it'd be easier if you have that problem. I never had a bug with the new userbar generator, but it's possible, of course.

I just checked my signature and it was changed. So maybe the picture that is displayed on the website of the userbar generator displays the old userbar after editing. Don't know why though. Anyway, I guess my problem is fixed.

It also could just take a little bit to fully update the final image, but I don't know. You'd have to wait until {AP} replies.

the problem, as {AP} said in his original post about the userbar editor, is that some browsers are very good at caching copies of pictures so that, when the page is reloaded, those images need not be downloaded again. this is very good for saving bandwidth, but it also means that sometimes your browser will not recognise that the source picture itself has changed and just display the old copy it has.

Pressing Ctrl+F5 will reload the page and all of its images.

Yes, I believe that was the problem.

I typically edit the picture, go back to the manager and then when I press backspace, it loads properly.
