Title: 123outerme's Second Signature
Post by: 123outerme on May 11, 2014, 12:38:12 pm
This is basically where I put all the things that I would have in my signature, but can't fit in my regular signature without making it a mile long.

Well you can fit them using table. Use the "quote" button to know how I did this.

Wow. I didn't know you could use tables in BBCode. Nice.

I thought I locked this...?
Or can users not lock their own posts?
Edit: I can lock this, but I just realized I have no important reason to do so.

Users can lock their own topics, but moderators usually unlock them back if there was no reason to lock it in the first place (some boards lock solved issues but Omnimaga). That said, there is already an existing topic about signatures, so maybe a moderator could merge this topic with the other one? http://www.omnimaga.org/general-discussion/what-is-your-signature/

This topic was meant to be more of an extended, out-of-the-way signature than a description. I wouldn't mind if a moderator deleted this or moved it, since I've compacted my signature (thanks, Hayleia!).

Yeah, you can lock a topic, but if moderators see no reason to lock it (even for solved topics where someone can always add something to the solution), they unlock it back. We don't really use the lock feature much, moved topic notices are locked by default and if something goes wrong we lock a topic to prevent further drama, and I guess that's all. We see even less reasons to delete a topic either.

And yeah, I don't see why we would merge it either, 123outerme wanted to use this topic for stuff that can make his actual signature really big otherwise, which is a kinda nice idea. The What is your signature is just for showing off what's in your actual signature.

No worries, it's all good :)

Seeing as my signature really doesn't need anything else and is already compacted, I don't really need this. Maybe, for putting some images in the future, it would be useful, but not now. That's why I suggested it be moved or deleted.
I actually made this up on another forum (one that you might see me referencing with emoticons), but the idea never really caught on.
