Just wondering, does anybody know who Mickaël N is?

Since few omnimaga use their real name, I thought maybe he might be one of you, though he always refers to tibank in his answers

Yup, totally looks like Mic the TI-Bank admin.

If you know some of the TI history, TI-Planet splitted off TI-Bank with all the admins but Mic leaving, due to some drama that happened over a year ago. Since then, TI-Bank is considered the bad side of the french community.

Remember the day the walrus started to fly...

I finally cleared my sig after 4 years you're happy now?

Not really :P
He pointed all those people to go find their answers on TI-Bank but TI-Bank only gets its information from TI-Planet. The problem is that on TI-Planet you have real experts that can help you at any moment on the chat or get their updated information on the forum while on TI-Bank you only have what they said a long time ago (whuch got copied without giving any sources), without any kind of updates :(

I would not say that the whole site is the bad side of the french community, most people there might not know that they are on the wrong site. Only the admin is the bad side :P

Well it depends which stuff. Critor, Adriweb and others who resignated from TI-BANK joined TI-BANK only in 2008. Anything prior that is really from Mic (TI-BANK existed for far longer than that). Afterward he went less and less active and the others, especially Critor, started posting a lot of news and discoveries until splitting their work into TI-Planet

Yes, spamming Youtube with one video per GBA ROM... spamming Yahoo Answers with mainly links to informations he's copied on his website and sometimes not even a french/english word... nothing surprising.

He believes in quantity/spam... we believe in quality.

Oh, okay.
Also, I kind of did find it annoying, but okay, when after I posted page long answers about gba or ndless, I would always see his same link to tibank. Although is was equally annoying to see Texas Instrument’s “we understand that you” help answers

And, if it makes you feel better, I only ever told people to find downloads on tiplanet

He's too incompetent and too bad-behaved to try and attract people the normal way, so in order to try (and miserably fail ^^) to find support, he has to resort to spamming, slandering and whatnot.
Nothing else to expect from him, and he doesn't even deserve that much attention: let's move along :)

He also "steals" the project from others without permission and puts them in TI-BANK. (How do I know that? all the zcontest thingys are in there.)

Erm, that isn't stealing, as he doesn't change the author name. On top of that it's a very common practice on French websites for admins to add other people's games in their own file archives without the author's permission. Even TI-Planet (or its team) does it. That's a different mentality in France for file archivers sometimes in order to boost their traffic or have their archives be as complete as possible but at the same time boost the author's popularity outside the English world.

In some cases, however, such as TI-OSes, the websites will just link to the original file rather than provide a full copy, and the author can request them to do so with their files too (particularly if it's a constantly updated project and the original link always remains the same) or even remove any mention of the file althogether (although then I don't see the point since it removes you a lot of publicity, especially on TI-Planet where there are 1800 users online at once in June)

Yeah steal would be more like if for example Omni staff took your games and uploaded them in the archives, but without even showing you in the author field (or if unavailable, in the uploader field).

The only time I can tolerate an admin not taking down someone files upon request is if the takedown request is done in direct response to forum moderator temp-ban/warning or in retaliation against an admin getting mad at you for trolling the shit out of his site, because either the person will change his mind after cooling down or he is just crybabying for not being allowed to do everything he wants (which happened several times on the old board). :P

This was so weird.
I saw that one of my answers was not the best answer, so I checked it and all four of them were people or things I've heard of before.

Idk, I was just surprised to see kerm there. Also I thought it interesting that we all link to different websites (well, I forgot to that time)
