I'm thinking about making a calculator monopoly... I've already made my own Minecraft monopoly, with tools as proerties. I'm thinking that the TI-30 should be the earliest property and progress into the epic calcs i need like the nspire and the new casio touch screen calc. But what should the taxes be? And the railroads?
Anyway, it will take some research (I'm not a calc whiz like most people on this forum), and I could use some help with ideas. Thanks!
-
Good luck with it! Hope you'll make it through the finish line :)
-
Lol, I though you were going to write a commentary on TI's near-monopoly on educational graphing calculators.
Good luck on your endeavor. You should probably start with the TI-83 plus family, as it is onfe of the most popular platforms.
-
This is a cool idea! :)
-
Monopoly should be a pretty decent project. Shouldn't be too difficult either. What language are you going to be working with?
-
Monopoly just needs a lot of content. That's where you will be spending the most time on: adding content (strings, cards, names)
-
Wait are you making it on calc or IRL ?
-
The taxes perhaps should be imposed by TI?

@ Art_Of_Camelot:
I'm working in pencil and poster. The best language ever XD (Sry if I'm disappointing... I'm just not all that good with calc graphics, and I don't know a lot of the commands).
@ Streetwalker:
See above answer.
@ Blue_Bear_94:
That's kinda what I was thinking... But what should the names be? All the ones I think up would be good Chance cards....
I'm also working on a TI-BASIC command framework, again with pencil and paper (Need to add more commands, outline, and make the word list). If anyone doesn't know what a framework is, it's basically a crossword that shows you the words but doesn't tell you to where they go. They're definitely one of my favorite puzzles.

Ah, lol. For some reason I automatically assumed it was a programming project. I guess that explains why you posted it in this section. :p
-
On which calc would such project be? If it's on the TI-84+, you have to keep in mind that your game would be in direct competition with the 1998 Monopoly, so you would need to make your game stand out.

DJ, he's making an actual board game, not a calc game. :P
BTW did you make any progress ?

Hence the "would" in DJ's post ;)
-
Oh, it is not a calc program, silly me >.<
But instead of streets you buy then calcs? Nice :D
-
I suspect somebody will suggest ponies instead of calcs <_<
-
Use ponies instead of calcs :P
/me runs

@ DJ Omnimaga: Yea... I'm really just doing this for fun, this really isn't anything big.
@ Streetwalker: Haven't started at all... Still need to do research. Caught up in 6th grade crap. :P But I'll try!
@ DJ Omnimaga (later post): And take a look at the next page!
@ Sorunome: Hmm... Maybe I should turn this Omni based and have ponies be the railroads... Thanks, Sorunome! Btw, how'd you get your text red?

They were just messing around but that sounds like a fun idea. :P

The red text is done by doing "/me" and will display the *username in red followed by your message. If you do a full reply instead of a quick reply you can choose different text colors under the font setting.

What Art_of_Camelot said. Also, next time you wonder how a user wrote something, try hitting the "quote" button, you'll see in the quote the exact thing you need to do the same ;)
