Post by: flyingfisch on October 24, 2011, 07:42:21 pm
Mythbusters tested this! (http://www.youngeagles.org/news/2011%20-%2010_20%20-%20Not%20a%20Myth_%20Duct%20Tape-Covered%20Plane%20Flies.asp)
Spoiler For original email:
Quote from: Original eMail
During a private "fly-in" fishing excursion in the Alaskan wilderness, the chartered pilot and fishermen left a cooler and bait in the plane.

A bear smelled it, and this is what he did to the plane.

The pilot used his radio and had another pilot bring him 2 new tires, 3 cases of duct tape, and a supply of sheet plastic.

He patched the plane together, and FLEW IT HOME!

Well, first of all, thats 4-5 layers of duct tape, and it is about the same consitency as the fabric skin. Secondly, he was alaskan, so its kinda in his blood not to die in a plane crash. :D

Darn that's insane. O.o I personally would probably be scared of going in a vehicle that is damaged like that.
