Even Russians get rickrolled sometimes!
« on: October 02, 2012, 11:20:38 am »
Russians enjoy American pop music.  So I was going through a grocery store in Russia, and I heard the song "Never gonna let you down" playing.  Ironic, because I was disappointed that the store didn't have any cream of mushroom soup or anything similar

By the way, things are going well for me.  You can read more about my trip in Russia here:  Just be aware, there's some religious content

Nice to hear and lol at the rickroll. XD

To be honest though I am kinda surprised they play american songs, considering the content of some and seeing how the Pussy Riot band got arrested for performing an anti-Putin song. Although I doubt you are as limited as in China or North Korea, in Quebec the band Loco Locass made an anti-Liberal song where it says to free us from the government that was in place at the time and they got away with it with no form of punishment.
