Title: Happy Halloween!!!
Post by: parserp on October 31, 2011, 04:56:35 pm
First of all: Happy Halloween everybody!!!
Oh wait, is America the only place where people celebrate Halloween?
but anyway, happy Halloween everybody!!!
Oh, and just wanted to know if you are going trick or treating, cause I'm not allowed to anymore.
(for 4 years now actually :))

trick or treating isn't done here. Here, halloween is just carving pumpkins (which almost nobody does) or watching a scary movie. I don'treally celebrate it.

I think trick or treating is only done in america.

I'm not going trick or treating D: The village doesn't allow college students to trick or treat (there was an incident some years back). So tonight, I think I will just celebrate my 1-year anniversary at Omnimaga by coding or studying for a test that I have tomorrow O.O

I voted "No", but I actually don't celebrate Halloween (but can't edit vote).

Some sort of Halloween-related concert.
Woot for being in band?

It's kind of funny actually, the music we're playing isn't really spooky or anything, unless you count Chicken Run as a horror movie or something :P

I didn't trick-or-treated this year because I was stuck at school in my robotics club doing electronics with my Arduino (I came back home at 10PM lol), but I think I'm too old for that anyway. My brother went though.

I was at work, so no. I don't trick or treat anymore, though, being 25 years old (and most of the ppl I know above 20). I did do some sort of halloween prank (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TOZRjSLmMg8) on Youtube (and Omni) though.

Also Halloween is celebrated over where I live, but it seems to have become less and less popular over the last few years. In my area I barely saw any decorations this year.

We live in the middle of nowhere, so nobody trick or treats at our house.

I wanted to.
ToTing is popular with older kids here,  We don't go around to houses, but instead we walk the streets all night socializing.

Although I had an academic team meet :(

Actually over here one reason why it was never as popular was that half of the residential neightboorhood are appartment buildings, half of which are locked down from strangers. As for the houses not having decorations and stuff as much anymore, I guess it's because of all bums in that part of my city that vandalizes them sometimes and the fact at night it's rather creepy now here (2 years ago a woman got sexually agressed in the park on the other side of the street behind houses and last year the store I work at was hold-up'ed in the middle of the afternoon)

Yes Oktoberfest has plenty of beer. Many people get what's called "das boot" (see example below)

I got 46 pounds of candy in 3(?) hrs!!
I know it's rude, but when it says Take 1 or 2, I take like 20, and when it says Help Yourself, I take all of it :D
Also, I always Trick or Treat earlier than everyone else so I can get those bowls before someone loots them first

When we were young enough to trick-or-treat, with my sister, we used rollerblades to go faster than anyone and to get to more houses >:D (and to have more fun also)
