Wow... I seriously thought that most of you guys were younger than me... >_<
-
And apparently I'm not the youngest. :o
-
Nope, I think Skuller972 would be. (according to his profile)
A lot of us, such as Iambian, me, tr1p1ea, Darth_Android, Kalan_vod, Nikky, Art Of Camelot, bfr and Speler have been around for a long while though (altough Bfr is still one of the youngest no matter how long he has been around). Iambian, tr1p1ea, Darth Android and myself joined forums in 2003 and were alerady coding for a while at that time (I started in 2001, but idk for tr1p1ea and Iambian). I still remember Iambian's Final Fantasy I clone project for 15 MHz calcs. Nikky was coding text BASIC games back then and I believe he has been on calcgames.org since its opening. Bfr joined Ticalcs.net in late 2004, same for Kalan_vod with maxcoderz. Speler joined UTI in 2005. Art Of Camelot joined around 1999-2000, altough he went inactive for a long period of time afterward (and currently seems to have dissapeared?). Netham45 joined the community in early 2005. Trevmeister66 has been around since 2006. Actually, most members here were members of the old Invisionfree Omnimaga forums. Technically, Iambian is the oldest forum member as he was even member of the failed Omnimaga forum attempt in 2004 on yAronet (as Iambian Zenith) and had an asm prgm that could delete the OS :P
While I may be one of the oldest here, I am actually one of (if not the) youngest member on TIMGUL forums (a lot of members are in the late 20s and early 30s)
-
Looks like I'm second youngest.
-
at least I'm happy I no longer have the 13 years old minimum registration rules we had on the old board. Well... I think at least. Omnimaga is a canadian forum, but I am unsure if the rule still applies anyway since it's hosted in the States. It might just be for people who lives in USA. Not that they really check this anyway, though. It's just that on Invisionfree/Zetaboards it was in their Terms Of Service x.x

What is going on with David Randall (ultima), he was 37ish if I recall correctly..:P
-
He might have retired now since he said he would after releasing Ultima and Advanced Dungeon & Dragons. I think he was 37 or 38

Art_Of_Camelot did like AlienCC on United-TI from what he said 2 years ago on #omnimaga. Joined the TI community around 1995-97 (I wouldn't be surprised if they visited #TCPA and #TI-Files back then under different nicknames), did some small BASIC games, then left (I know AlienCC left because of the flame wars and conflicts, but I don't remember for AOC). 4-5 years later they returned and became regulary active.
I think Ranman (who made Ultima V) did the same thing with calculators, except twice and with two different brands the first time. Did Casio programming in 1990, stopped, then started 68k TI programming in the late '90s, stopped, then came back in 2005 doing 68k C
And Allynfolksjr is awesome... at least almost as much as Kevin Kofler
-
@ 20
I only started programming about 5-6 years ago (started in 10th grade), so I'm still fairly young :D
-
Kofler is way more awesome than I am.
-
I'm 178.
Kofler's so awesome, that he can descriminate based off of character set!

I think most people start calc programming around 14. However, some people like me joins the TI community only like 2 or 3 years later.
Unfortunately, it seems a lot of the 12-13 years old who joins won't stay very long, though, it's like if their interests changed much faster and they get bored of something very fast.
