My dad used to do BASIC :P I never asked him if he did assembler

He doesn't remember any BASIC commands, though.

My dad got his masters degree in programing (in C) but he programed in 68k too

Well, its hard to blame him for not remembering BASIC commands, since every implementation uses differently named commands and might not even support the same subset.  However, I'm sure he probably would be to pick it up easily again by looking at a command reference for a specific implementation ;)

The closest thing to Axe, on the TI-68k/AMS platform, would be Newprog. You can find it on ticalc.org :)

nice but I might use the 83 to 89 converter (converts stuff 83 format to 89 format )

An 89? I would also like one to program C using TI-GCC.

Well, congratulations and enjoy it!

how many people on omnimaga are 68k programers?

I do/have done quite a bit of 68K BASIC/C programming, except that I keep having so many other projects and hobbies (both calc- and non-calc-related) that I rarely actually finish anything. :( I've never had a chance to look at NewProg, though I am interested in hearing people's experiences with it if they try it.

Yes, I'm also thinking of using newprog for future programs.

The 89 is a very good choice, I know that you will love it. Its just sad that there aren't many 68k programmers/users out there.

Nice! And it also seems that there has been a small boost in 68K activity recently :)
