I have a job, only $1.50ish an hour though, 8-9 hours a day 5 days a week.

It is illegal, and I have no plans of ever returning. However, I still plan on getting as much money out of this as I can.

wow, that's a low wage, in Quebec where I live some teens get jobs paid under minimum wage (8$ per hour), but I don't think I saw any that paid under 3$ (except for job that pay based on quantities (like berries)

It is illegal, but no one cares because teens want to work before the legal age (16) to get money

In Michigan, minimum wage is $7.15 an hour, but minors can get paid 80% of that and be legal. My boss is doing everything he can by the books (makes minors take long enough on breaks, that they don't work too many hours, that kind of thing). Some people though. Btw, this last check was good for me, I netted $400 on it.

Well, I'm getting another check for the same amount in two weeks. I don't plan on spending any money until I get it. Then I will be making a decision:

Do I buy a Wii, Controllers, and a couple of games or...

Do I buy a Banjo (<3), TI-92 T, and Bass Wah (which would leave a ton of money in the bank).

Save up and buy a laptop. I've got more than $256 (no, it's not a memory address, unlike what calc84maniac thought on UTI), but I don't want to buy any game console yet because I know that most console games don't last forever (a game that has lived forever in my standards is AoE; one of my friends still plays it everyday, and no it's not AoE3 or AoE2, it's the original AoE). In fact, you can probably get a crappy business laptop for $260 (I don't know which model it is, but you know it's crappy when it has a 667 Mhz processor) and a kind of decent entertainment laptop for $500 (A Dell Inspiron 1501 with a 14.1" screen; the 15.4" screen costs an extra $50 to $100).
