I can't tell weather or not this is sarcasm...
I've been to many sites that have been ruined by ponies. It may be funny at first, but there are people who legitimately like them. It's scary. I've seen grown men going crazy over a show made for 7-year-old girls. Please listen to SirCmpwn on this one.

I don't normally like ponies, but MLP:FiM was/is a nice series..
Very funny, actually. Lots of humour. And no gag-reflex-triggering cuteness.

The meme became overused, so people were sick to death of ponies, while other people used them to destroy threads there. Many people like My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic and they have the right to, you have to respect them. It's a shame to destroy a reputation because of an overused meme. This thread will remain locked to prevent it from being destroyed like countless other threads on 4chan and many other forums.

AAAAAnd, i think i found a little mistake in MLP.
In one episode (dunno which one) Applejack says that she got her cutiemark the last in her class and (I think) that Rainbowdash, who got her cutiemark first in class, helped her, BUT in a later episode you see that all the main characters get their cutiemarks at the same time.

So, the Season 3 premiere aired today. To those who watched it, what did you think? IMO, the villain was lackluster, and he really didn't do much other than make vague threats throughout the episode.

*cough* Maybe... <_<. Honestly though, I think I finished the first season. It's an ok show. I'm really just more of a Rainbow Dash fan than a MLP fan though to be honest.

what's so bad about .tk?
Every 6 month it has a roughly 2 months period of time where it takes a long while to load, if at all. It was particularly bad during the second half of 2004 through 2005 and in 2011 or so. Dot.tk has good periods of uptime, but unfortunately that isn't consistent. At least they no longer have ads, though.

Yeah I mean the free redirects. I never tried actual paid domains from dot.tk, though, but I never bothered taking any chance in case it would have been as bad. Are .tk domains available through a different registrar now?

(off-topic, I can't wait for .ame and .ost domain names :P)

Yesterday was the season premier and it was awesome in my optinion!

The awesome thing in these episodes were the flash-backs, showing the history of equestria.
I also like how, all in the end, the chest with the keys is revealed, allowing a continuus plot, a far longer plop that streaches over episodes, also allowing each of the mane six having at least one episidoe dedicated to them.
I hope hasbro won't rush it!

Oh well. Season 4 began, I'd like to instaurate a new rule: discussion of the episodes takes place here, but put spoilers in spoilers tags like Sorunome did, or in transparent text until the next episode is out, 7 days or you're sure everyone here watched it, whichever comes first.

So yeah, I liked that episode.

Yeah, the flashbacks solves many questions about the history of Equestria, we were shown how Luna became Nightmare Moon first and how she got banished to the moon, how the regal sisters defeated Discord, the origins of the elements of Harmony and Discord's evil plan. I like how the entire season is gonna be a story arc (https://twitter.com/MMeghanMcCarthy/status/404277470599192576) too with the chest (yay we solved the enigma all by ourselves OH WAIT THERE'S ANOTHER ONE OMG). I assume the season finale is about that chest, wondering what's in it during 6 months is gonna be kinda long. Also the sun and the moon at the same time lol.

Overall, I kinda like how the show became kinda dark, maybe even philosophical at times, kinda unusual for a show of this genre. The ponies' still aren't trusting Discord and many blame the writer for making him a simple comic relief, but he actually helps Twilight at the end. So yeah, the episode was real good and I can't wait to see the rest of the season.

I don't know, it have a weird feeling about this. Sure, I like both MLP and Weird Al, but WA looks like a bad OC (and we already had Sparkly Fedora in Rarity Takes Manehatten) and it looks to me like 2 styles that will clash, even if both are known to be light-hearted and comedic.

But ultimately I have not seen the episode, and we had way more serious threats in the past that turned out to be fine (EQG anyone?)

Pinkie's Pride was an ok episode in my opinion. I did however notice the rubber chicken glow rainbow, so I'm starting to wonder if those objects might be the key to the hexa-box. That would be a really an obvious hint to tell us that those objects have some importance, and I see one thing that importance might be related to.

Season-long story arc, yep. All we know is that at the beginning, Twilight recieved a box with 6 locks and all 6 main characters (Rarity, Rainbow Dash and Pinkie Pie so far) will recieve a rainbow-shined object at the end of 6 different episodes...

Weird. It's not like he made money by making those animations and I bet mlp got more fans because of his work, so why even bother to take it down. This stuff just scares creative people and they will stop making fan animations. Is hasbro trying to destroy their fanbase?

The point is, if I remember correctly, if they don't block fan-made work like this, it potentially endangers their trademarks. While I see the reasoning behind it, of course, it's quite sad to see JanAnimations go under.

Well, we still have his Ask the Crusaders blog (http://ask-thecrusaders.tumblr.com/) and he said he didn't given up on animation yet. I believe turiqwarlus is right, Hasbro have to send those C&D because it's required by the US law... Or it's what I heard.

One thing that concerns me is about Project Thundercloud, another animation based on MLP made by Playerdotexe. A video game based on it is planned (as wel as a sequel) and the team (Playerdotexe and myself) is afraid it would recieve those C&D... Oh well. We still have the Streisand Effect (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Streisand_effect).

I'm helping rendering the 3D scenes (it's pretty CPU intensive and a single 15-second scene can take 2 weeks) and I'm the main programmer for the video game spin-off while Playerdotexe does the art and the story.

Actually the video game idea came when I imported the 3D scenes I had to render in Unity and it looked kinda good, so we were like, hey why not making a video game of it?

There's quite a few people telling me they thought MLP was a japanese anime. And there's also quite a few people who said they weren't sure if they were watching DBZ or MLP as they were watching the epic fight between Twilight and Tirek.

Indeed, those fanfics are often on PG-rated fanfic sites. I know my bro visited fanfics before to read Harry potter ones and adult ones were rampant and sometimes disturbing <_<

Are they search proof, though? For example, some search engines accept loose matches or mispelled words, so if someone, out of curiosity, types "Harry Potter sucks" in the search box, maybe he'll not find fanfics bashing harry potter, but rather some unwanted material. >.<

If the video is available for download, people should download it in mass to back up a copy on their respective computers, just in case idiots from Hashbro send a C&D to Youtube and the vid is taken down within an hour or soon. <_<

Wow, and I thought USB2 stuff was sometimes ridiculously hard to plug due to barely even fitting sometimes O.O (actually it seems hit or miss. Sometimes, my phone will plug easily, but all of a sudden, it's next to impossible, like if the metal had bended or something)

Also I think in Quebec, theaters can now check people if they look like they have cameras or check their bags so if you ever see a camrip from Quebec then it's a phone camera and it's gonna be even worse quality. Not that it's really a good idea to discuss how to access a paid movie for free on those forums, though, anyway :P

The issue with those movies is that they're still niche stuff so usually 1 screen will show it in an entire city or area rather than every theater and there is only 1 showtime. Odéon also don't list such movie on the showtimes list when I go there so only people who learn about it via worth to mouth will know.

There was 3 screens in Montréal total in the province of Québec (each with 3-4 showtimes I think). For the first movie it was kinda better, there was also a screen in Québec City, but we were unable to get one there this time.
