I wish i had that upload speed.
Its good for hostin servers (I host a minecraft server). :P
Could be better, but it's enough for me :)Yeah, KabelBW is generally so-so :P

D: Your bandwidth cap is 120GB? Mine is 14GB with VerizonThat sucks. Over here in Canada ISPs are capped due to anti-piracy laws. Any ISP that had unlimited bandwidth plans had to get rid of them in September 2007. However I heard that in USA, a lot of ISPs had unlimited bandwidth and you only had problems if, for example, you used like 900 GB in a single month or 60 GB within a few days.
So you'll no longer disappear during 2 months once in a while? Nice :Dprecisely >:D Now I can be on the evil interwebs all year round.
well as you may looked inside the spoiler:How the heck is yours like that O.O

GOD, after reading all the replys i'm truly sad, why are you guys so limited in the bandwidth, if i had limits as small as yours i'd kill myself, i easily do 50g up and 50gb down in a month, and thats when it isn't higher.sometimes the govt is behind bandwidth caps, in order to reduce piracy (from the many people downloading 8000 GB a month of warez, movies and music to copy them on DVDs.

And my internet is not that fast, i wonder how much i would upload/download if optical fiber was in my place already.
That would be the isp, not the government.GOD, after reading all the replys i'm truly sad, why are you guys so limited in the bandwidth, if i had limits as small as yours i'd kill myself, i easily do 50g up and 50gb down in a month, and thats when it isn't higher.sometimes the govt is behind bandwidth caps, in order to reduce piracy (from the many people downloading 8000 GB a month of warez, movies and music to copy them on DVDs.

harper actually tried to impose a cap on Videotron in 2007. Not sure if the final decision was done by him, though, but they at least tried. Note that videotron only had one unlimited plan, though.

For some reason my ping is 70?
It is usually 30ish
I tricked speedtest for the above screenshot.
Yeah. The issue is that Canada population is so much lower than USA that there are fewer ISPs due to lower marketing opportunities, thus, much less competition, so ISPs can jack price up as much as they want. The same happens with cellphones and is why it took so long before the 3G version of PSVita comes out here, although now it's not as bad as a few years ago when the cheapest mobile plan was $50 a month excluding extra fees.Over here, 4.5 MB/s is $70 a month and I think 18 MB is $130.O.O ZOMG that's freakin' expensive.

In USA, if a company had such prices, it would go bankrupt fast, but in Canada, as a customer we don't have much of a choice. Of course, governments could simply impose caps on internet fees (depending of the service) or other things like gas prices so that they must match their USA counterparts, but then those companies would just drop out of the Canadian market.
Well telus optic can provide me a decent setThat's a pretty standard speed for Canada.
...snip...
the ping isn’t the best :(
...snip...:( Not anymore at least. We use to have double our speed.
Anyone have better internet than advertized by your ISP?
You can get faster speeds than that using dial up. Here in the netherlands there is an isp that offers this service for free :D You need a telephone subscription though (Does not matter if it's theirs. They don't discriminate. They're just being awesome)The issue with dial up, though, is that when you are online, nobody is able to call you at home because the phone remains occupied. This can be rather irritating for friends who want to hang out with you or if someone has an important call to do to you (unless you have a cellphone of course).

A blue box is an electronic device that generates the same tones employed by a telephone operator's dialing console to switch long-distance calls.Translation : Free illegal phone! :p
Instant downloads but requests would take forever. :PDownload speed depends on the server not the client though. So the possibility of rather rapid downloads, but most likely it would be just as slow as normal.
Internet speed almost becomes irrelevant in your case though since you telnet via a TI-82. :PI don't even have an O.O
