http://img.removedfromgame.com/imgs/WP_000068.jpgI got something similar somewhere. However, it's smaller and is from Axe 0.2.0, plus the command list I printed was version 0.0.5 I think.
Since i don't wanna thumbnail this, or induce big scroll bars on the page, here are 4 of mine, tho i need to take one of the stuff behind me. The black case under the desk is my server.Nice. I like that computer you have that says ninja on the front.

Please excuse the parallax errors. I was taking a very quick panorama.
And here's my collection of Commodore equipment in the corner:
http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y64/abbrev/cave-corner.jpg
In the stack I have a C128 at the bottom, a C64 in the middle, and a C16 at the top. I have two 1541 floppy drives (only one shown here), one 1571 floppy drives, and a 1802 color monitor. I have other Commodore peripherals not shown here too, such as joysticks, a printer, a Koalapad, a tape drive, and paddles. And, of course, lots of floppy disks. :)
I noticed the music stand, what do you play?My wife is the musician. She can play guitar (not very well :P), flute, and oboe, and I think also the piano.

I can only play CD's and MP3 players (and the piano, but very very little). :D

I agree, all the musicians here are awesome. I actually started a duet arrangement of Through the Fire and the Flames for Clarinet and Marimba today ;)Very awesome, Sir. ;D

(http://img.removedfromgame.com/imgs/IMG_4013.JPG)nice, what version of mint is that?
here's my cave, you can see my 22 inch LCD, my studying Books and my laptop booted on Mint, not as messy as yours though :)
I have 10 but I use the background that changes to match the time of day(It always seems to be on the night one when I'm on though...) Mint 11 sounds like it will be pretty good
you should fix that...(don't forget to add a rickrollFixed. ;)
Is that a real musepad? It looks nice
Yeah I got that CD too. I think I got some old game magazines somewhere, even a Secret of Mana 1993 walkthrough and a Nintendo Power magazine showcasing Zelda 64 beta images.
Btw @Scout Awesome room :D
I'm living alone, and the rent is $530 per month. I work a 40 hour workweek at $15/day, which gets me $2,600 monthly before taxes.Does the rent include electricity etc? Also, internet connection I'm guessing you have, what's the speed?
So... I just moved in a week ago to my new apartment. The walls are hideously white and boring however and I'm not allowed to put nails in the walls so I can't put up any artwork. Not that I have any anyway... So instead, I've been working on this. I've only done 2 so far, but eventually all 4 walls will be covered in them:
Yes, those are post-its. Ideas are welcome, I need some more. :)

oh wow a Video Now! I forgot about those things!
That's probably too big. The entire height of the wall is only about ~28 post-its so unless I can find smaller ones, I'm going to be limited to tiny sprites. Other things I was thinking of were pacman, a tetris game, and space invaders, but they don't have to be video games. I've seen (http://www.digitalbusstop.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/09/Post-It-Elvis.jpg) some other (http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_p5mAt9Tofmg/S4OrrTrK8_I/AAAAAAAAANY/pPM7j5LN2xg/s320/post-it-note-mural-300x300.jpg) really cool (http://www.digitalbusstop.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/09/Post-It-Hand.jpg) artwork. This one of megaman is less than 28 pixels I believe: http://images.wikia.com/megaman/images/6/62/MegamanSpriteEdit.gif

Is Linux fast? (possible biased question)Yes
Does it support things like skype?
Could I still run Ti Connect and Ti-Nspire Student software?
Does it run .exe files?
Does Google Chrome/FireFox run fine on it?
From installing it, would I keep all my currently installed files?
I probably have more questions, but I can't think of any :P
Yeah my mom puts a lot of pressure on me about that. My desk sometimes gets awfully messy though. :PHoly necro post Batman ! *.*

I think that is perhaps the cleanest, most organized room I've seen posted here. :P On a side note, I'm working on spring cleaning right now. By working on, I mean at the moment everything is pulled out, so it looks like a catastrophe in progress. :P
Compared to this, I don't even dare posting pics of my room.
DJ_O knows right.
Wow, any tutorials out there for all that? :IFor the installing part, depending on the distro you use most of it's automated so the most technical thing you have to do is move a slider determining how much memory you want to give each OS :P This (https://help.ubuntu.com/community/WindowsDualBoot) should help, just switch out 'ubuntu' w/ distro of choice for the most part.
(thankfully I didn't have to put my bike in my bedroom, tho)Lol at that one. XD
SOLVE THAT RUBIKS CUBE NOWIt's actually half solved, I need to learn how to do the last layer now. :P
Also, how do you keep it that clean O.OMom. She forces me to.
I mostly play kirby on it because it's easy to pick up and play. My other games do not have a save-feature and you'd have to start from the beginning every time you start. I should get zelda or another game that can save.in some cases, be careful because these games are very old and use a backup battery to retain saves when not in use. While batteries are supposed to last several decades, in some rare cases they die in 3-15 years. For example, my copy of Final Fantasy III no longer saves and my Terranigma repro cart and Secret of the Stars saves often vanishes if I don't play for a few days or turn the power ON/OFF too rapidly (such as when the game won't start and I have to mess around with the cartridge in the slot)

Yeah SMB1 physics were just more realistic, while SMB2/3 were more lax to make things easier. However, newer SMB games are far more easier. In NSMB2 for the Nintendo 3DS, when I finished World 1, I had 75 lives O.O . It seems like they made newer Mario games easier in general so that kids can pick them up easier without tearing down walls like we did back in the days with our NES gamepads. :PI mostly play kirby on it because it's easy to pick up and play. That's how you get better at them :P
Also, it depends which mario game you are talking about. I think the first Super Mario Bros. is kind of difficult simply because of the gravity. It makes the gameplay feel a bit strange to me. SMB 2 and SMB are pretty easy IMO. :)
That's a pretty neat shelf system. Also, totally agree about the newer Mario games. For me they've been a huge disappointment due to how easy they are. :/ I should get around to posting my cave, but it's way too messy atm. I really need to post my cave too as well, but it isn't that impressive since the calcs are hard to see (lack of storage here) and the most interesting stuff (the SNES, NES and Atari games, for instance) are mainly under the couch inside a container in the living room. (I actually kept the boxed games more visible, though, and the N64 games are outside because my storage container ran out of space. >.<
Now my bedroom pretty much has my computer with several calcs hidden behind the monitor (some elsewhere on the desktop), some Detroit Red Wings media guides, some books I'm not done reading (especially Tintin stuff), a bunch of movies that don't fit elsewhere, some music CDs, my nice yellow/beige SNES and a Nintendo 64 :P.
What I need is something like this O.O
Right now several of my older consoles are on the carpet because they don't fit anywhere else and I'm afraid to use them too much because of lack of ventilation >.<
Yeah it's super easy to grind for lives in newer mario games. These days there are so many 1ups in those games it's almost inpossible to not beat them eventually. If you do happen to run out: go to world 1.1 and grind for some more until your live count reaches comfort levels. And what is the point of having so many lives? When you get a gameover you are just sent back to your last save which is not a large punishment compared to older games. Modern gamers are more likely to give up when they see game over because they think it stands for "This game has ended." What it really means is:"Session since your last save over. Try again from where you was 1 minute ago?"The problem in NSMB2, though, is that to gain lots of lives, you don't even need to grind. You can just gain lots of coins effortlessly. I actually don't mind if to get lives, you need to solve some puzzles, access some harder to reach platforms, etc, like in NSMB1 and Wii, but now it got so ridiculous that they might as well do like Demon's Crest and remove the life system altogether. :P
And lol, smashtop xDI had to laugh so hard when I saw this one. XD

why so many comps?I'm not usually at my desk (mostly on my laptop (not the one in the picture (not that one either))) so it has mostly computers that people have given to me. PentiumII (leftmost desktop of the group on the desk) does just about everything poorly, and I use it almost entirely for IRC. It doesn't use much power (and it is going to use a lot less after its rebuild), and it is pretty convenient to use. It has Windows 98SE, 2000, XP, and 7 in quadboot; it runs legacy software when needed. My sub-gaming desktop in the middle actually has a longer boot-to-desktop time and longer time to get to IRC than PentiumII, but is at least an order of magnitude faster when it comes to things like video games. The rightmost desktop (you'll hear me refer to it as the CVDesktop) has 1.5 TB of storage, so it handles most of my network storage; uptime is above 99.8%. PentiumII handles the rest, storing less important things like schoolwork and old versions of my calculator software. The laptop on top of the desktops runs my IRC bouncer and CVBot, also above 99.8% uptime. If I'm truly doing two things at once that require significant (my standards aren't high, web browsing falls under this category) processing power, I use the Sun Ultra 20 occupying the left half of the smaller desk. It isn't connected to the KVM switch, and thus has its own setup. It's also convenient if I have a friend or someone that needs to use one of my computers. The docked laptop on the right side of the smaller desk is rarely used, it serves as a backup for CVBot in case the hard drive in the primary laptop dies again.
Although technically not my 'cave', I spend more time here than anywhere else. Here's where I work.
EDIT: freaking huge, too lazy to fix so here's a link: http://i.imgur.com/RucRnvH.jpg (http://i.imgur.com/RucRnvH.jpg)
