here's my current desktop. at the moment, i'm fangirling over wakfu (a french mmorpg/show).
whenever i start customising things i take them as far as possible, changing backgrounds, icon sets, xsplash images, and everything else i can possibly manage to make them fit the theme. right now, the icon in the top left corner there is the only ubuntu logo/icon that appears at any point during the operating system's bootup/running/shutdown. oh, and i set my log in page to slowly fade into the game's intro music if left sitting for a bit :P

EDIt:oh, and i made a matching firefox persona as well XD

There is the unity bar, but I'm running Blender thus it is hidden :D

My Windows desktop was very cluttered -- batch files, folders, text files, 8xp files, and shortcuts were everywhere.  I just got Linux -- it'll probably be equally messed up in a few months. 

But for now, I can glory in the cleanliness.

the weather thingies came AFTER clicking the weather icon by the way, it's not always there.  ;)
