Title: Post your game library (digital or not)
Post by: ImZealot on November 21, 2014, 10:50:49 pm
Hey guys, so I saw Zera's Topic "Post your desktop" kind-of forum game.
I want you guys to share your game library, either it being your digital collection or physical.
Proof is not needed but its nice to see it! :D
Let's share each other's games, find common interests, and suggest new games to each other!

My Steam game library:

My Origin game library:

(just got that "Crusader" game, Origin was giving it "On the house"... Yeah.)

My 'physical' game library:

Oh boy, if I were to count and write down all my PS2, PS3, Wii and PC games I'd be here for a while.
I might take pictures of them and post it here, MIGHT.

Now, show your games! :D

I need to post my library at one point, but I have like an hundred of game cartridges and CD-based ones. I had a picture of my collection a while ago but I traded in some stuff afterward and I planned to do so again in the near future, so I might go with a text-based list.

I don't have much stuff on Steam, though, and two things listed there are not even games anyway.

My calculator game library: http://clrdraw.weebly.com/ (http://clrdraw.weebly.com/)

My favorite Xbox games: Portal 2, Forza Motorsport 4, and Birds of Steel. I have a few others but I don't play them that much.

Yeah, I gotta do that to my game library too.
So many GB and GBA cartridges... And old (DOS) PC CD's...

That's just my steam library and what I've included in it that's not steam games. Probably got another 20 games outside of it and then all the games I have on my WiiU and Android. You could also include all the games I give away on IRC for free at random, but they aren't really mine anymore are they :P

Nope, my PC sucks xD
Well. I have a decent GPU (Gtx 650), but only 3 GB of RAM. Some games I am completely unable to play, like Planetside, Planetary Annihilation, and Kingdom Come: Deliverance.

Eeems, I really need to challenge you to some RTW sometime. :P Or maybe CKII once I learn how to play it.

I have well over 360 games on Steam, 15-20 on Origin and quite a few on NES/SNES/Genesis/N64/DS/GameCube/Wii/Android. Overall, too much games.

Is there a good way to store and manage a physical game database? I'd like to not pull hair when I'm moving to buy some games around.

I'd say Microsoft Excel/whatever the equivalent is in LibreOffice will do the job, but I guess specialized software for this might exist.

That's a great idea, if someone finds any specific software for it say something! :D

Welp, There's always Evolve. Obviously you can't play or launch games from Evolve because that's not what it's for (It's for playing your multiplayer games). But still it will create a library for all of your games.

The point of evolve was at first to be a tunneling engine so that those who couldn't port forward could still play games with their friends, but now it's a giant client similar to steam (except you don't buy games). Every time you play a new game, the client adds it to your library, that is if the game has a profile on Evolve. It records how long you have played it and whatnot, but it doesn't allow you to launch the games so I guess that's not what you want. Anyway, the reason Evolve has profiles for games is because unlike other tunneling engines like hamachi, Evolve custom writes and test a new tunneling engine for every single game in its database. Thus if it's on Evolve the tunneling engine is guaranteed to work (if you aren't relayed of course :P )

Anyway, if anyone wants to check that out, here it is:

As for your physical library problem. Why don't you just manually add non-steam games to your steam library. Thus you can have them all in one place...

Actually, Pricecharting has a tool to enter your game library somewhere I believe, but I don't know if it's free. It can be handy because it lets you know the value of your game collection, but some PC games might be missing and it's only for physical games.
