Put it this way: Omnimaga costs various people about $1000 a year, including about $600 by DJ alone. However, now that DJ's gone he's no longer paying that amount, so Omnimaga needs to come up with some more money to stay online, as well as for OmnomIRC to stay up, and to pay for contest prizes.

You don't. It either goes toward paying the Omnimaga hosting bill, arming insurgents in Yemen, investing in dynastic princes in Nigeria in desperate need of money, or providing funds for Rebecca Black's next music video.
