Last night apparently a fight broke in a bar near Juju's college and someone got shot and is in critical state.
Don't worry Juju is OK, but earlier at the radio I heard about the shooting and the way they said it it sounded like it just occured within the last few hours. This had me scared for a bit because I know Juju sometimes go to that bar during afternoons (especially thursdays) when classes are cancelled or when computer teachers go there, so when I arrived home I immediately checked news to get more details and Facebook to see if Juju was on, in case. Finally it turned out that it occured last night. Nonetheless it was still scary, though, and the fact that kind of stuff happens near where I and family live more and more is kinda scary at times. Recently there was a murder attempt near where Juju lives too. O.O

Yeah me too, hence why I was scared. Also when I first arrived on Facebook I didn't read about the news part saying it was last night, so I hoped Juju would show up or posted a recent status.

It happened at 2:50am, according to a morning show (I never go anywhere at this time of the day), I heard it's either a murder attempt or a russian roulette game.
And the murder attempt near where I live, I think it's the parents of someone I know from high school :/

I'm glad (as you mentionned on IRC) that people where you live are fine Juju at least. But yeah I noticed that kind of stuff happens more often nowadays compared to a few years ago here. It's not Detroit of course, lol, but it kinda reminds me of Montreal sometimes, even if our city is much less populated (139000 vs about 2.5 million).
Also that's a proof that the expensive Canadian fire arm registry doesn't necessarily stop people from either using guns in bad ways or acquiring them in illegal ways.

I usually go to bars in the afternoon (3-7PM), before bad stuff happens... I wouldn't trust anything after 10-11PM though.

Well they say this bar had nothing bad happening in it in almost the past 3 decades and that incident was the first ever bad thing to happen there in particular, not to mention Juju went there at a time of the day where it's usually less at risk. It must feel kinda weird to go at a place again, knowing someone got shot just outside, though.

Today, I overheard on IRC (where most of my Québec/Lévis IRC friends hangs out) that the guy died by playing russian roulette with a gun he thought was unloaded. I think he deserves a Darwin Award.

Ouch. That's why you don't play russian roulette or check if he's unloaded first, although I guess this can happen if he's drunk or something. X.x This sucks though. On the good side, I'm glad it was not a murder attempt, though.

Lol in this movie I saw this guy went to this black guy's house to buy weed and was playing around with a loaded gun.
The black guy told him not to touch it, and when the guy was explaining what the weed was, the white guy shot himself on accident.
This is what he said too, when the black guy told him not to touch it : "Man, I know how to handle a fking gun you N....."
