Title: Skylites Products 2013
Post by: CalebHansberry on November 23, 2013, 01:02:27 am
Hullo, I decided to copy this post from Cemetech, though it doesn't apply entirely.  I thought you might be interested...  And as usual, I am unsure if this is the correct area for this post.

I have 4 thingys to sell this year, not a lot but 4 times last year. :)  So, this year I'm selling on eBay; just click the picture of the item to go to its eBay page!

1. The famed DCS7 ornament. (http://www.cemetech.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=8505)  Costs $20.
2. New for this year, the Cemetech Christmas tree ornament! (http://www.cemetech.net/forum/viewtopic.php?p=211744)  Much cheaper than the full sized one, and tree-hangable.  Costs $15.
3. The full sized Cemetech logo (http://www.cemetech.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=8516); takes a ton of work!  Costs $50.  Professionally photographed by my friend Stephan Eden, thanks!
4. I tossed this in cause I make them too, and thought someone might be interested.  It is made of a cheaper wood than oak, and takes less labor, so it is also $15.

Remember, each one is made of one piece of wood, not glued together.  They will be mailed safely in a box.  Lastly, my preference is that you buy one, if possible, because I'm rather poor...  Thanks for reading!

Wha, those are pretty good quality! How long does it take you to make one?

Probably about a week.

[bump] I plan to stop selling these on eBay on February 1, 2014, as just an endpoint.

Wait, I didn't know they were on Ebay O.O. I should have read the earlier post more carefully >.<. Will they still be available somewhere? I am waiting until next paycheck to see if I'll have enough money to afford a bunch of extra purchases, because I wanted one of the Cemetech goodies.

Also your Ebay listing says you might not ship to Canada. Is that the case? D:

Um, heh, I wasn't planning on sending to Canada. :sheepish: I've heard, though never tried, that the shipping is higher.  But I certainly would try shipping it there.
And I can, after the eBay listings have ended, have the buyer pay via PayPal and I send them sans-eBay.

Ah ok I see. It would be cool if you could ship here or other places even if shipping is more expensive, since many community members including myself don't live in the United States (although I think on Cemetech there are fewer members outside USA). I would obviously pay the difference, although it would be better via USPS than UPS Ground, since UPS Ground will charge insane extra fees at delivery.

Ah, alright. I certainly don't mind shipping to more expensive locations! It's just that the profit margin in real low, so I'd be unable to if the cost was noticably higher. :( If one was willing to pay more, then that would of course not matter, the confusion being due to the fact that as a business practice I almost never charge shipping, only flat rate.

Bear in mind that I intent to design an Omnimaga one eventually.

It would mean a lot to me if I actually sold one :)

Actually when someone ships internationally on Ebay, it's the buyer that is supposed to pay the extra shipping costs. In other words I would just pay the extra difference. :P

Yeah I would like an Omni emblem or something at one point. Of course, since I want a Cemetech one too, I guess I would have to wait so shipping can be combined or something or grab the smaller Cemetech one so I can afford them. :P

Will they still be available for purchase via different means in the future?

Well sure, anyone can throw money at me via PayPal (thougodseestme at gmail dot com), and I'll mail them an ornament. :)
