Title: Stupid question about readme formatting
Post by: DJ Omnimaga on December 15, 2008, 08:27:53 pm
It might sound stupid, but I was wondering this right now. Why does most old readme files, especially .doc files, are written in all caps? I thought keyboards with lowercase letters capabilities existed for much longer than 1995? If you look through the TI-85 ASM games (Zshell) section at ticalc.org you might get an idea of what I am talking about. :P

(at least it's better than that 2004 era where a lot of people were wRiTiNg ThEiR fIlEs TiTlEs LiKe ThIs in the TI-BASIC section)

May it have been anything to do with word processors at the time? Yes, "1337" typing was a phase haha..

1337 typing was a contraversal religious movement.
