Does anyone ever had wondered why, even though I know a lot about BASIC and other calc stuff, that I hardly contribute any help in programming help and general support sections of forums, when someone ask sprites, it take everything for me to give help either?
has anyone realised, that why is it happening could be because of bad experiences occuring after helping people in the past, regardless of what was the kind of help?

has anyone realised that I still try to help people anyway, but that, I wonder if it's even worth it?

I do not want anything in return from my help
i am not the person who ask things in exchange of other stuff
but when the people I tried to help, doesn't respect me, are *insert bad word here* towards me, rewards me with things like earlier, it doesn't work with me at all

We all have our share of bad days. It's happened to me many times before, though it usually passes quickly if I act cool about it and don't let the monster loose. Usually everything in the sprites section or in the calculator help is put into good use after a while, though it is sometimes somebody completely else than the person who wanted help in the first place to make the most use of the information. And know this: you will always be one the credits list for all the great games you made or contributed to, whether it was as simple as a suggestion of testing to as complex as helping to make the game engine by writing code for the person to use.

if you feel that you have to apologize about people being @55es, well...please dont. you contribute and have contributed more to this website than any member i know of. just your presence makes people more active and productive, just visit the "following suit" thread by elfprince. there are tons of us who are guilty of not helping others just because we are lazy, do not feel guilty because you do not help people (in one very specific way) when you have a good reason. a person who helps people may be very nice. but a person that puts himself through misery that can be avioded is nothing more than a sucker. dont apologize for not being a sucker. and i hope you reconsider your leave, if everyone was as "unhelpful" as you, im sure omnimaga would be better than any calc website there is.

Yeah i saw that thread, it sucks though people leave when i do the same

, because then the site go dead whenever i get absent

basically if i dont want omnimaga to die i cannot take any vacation :help:

I think if you have to go away on vacation, I think we will survive, it just seems to happen when you have one of those I am leaving because something happened here kind of things.

If that is not the case, then what are we really here at this site?

ok, I couldn't tell. but I still stand with what I say. If every time you leave, we fall apart, something needs to be done.

my guess is that when i leave, there doesnt seems to be anything else interesting on the forums.

Only way to fix this problem would be to make the rest of the staff more active coding or boot everyone who are no longer coding and get new staff. I am not too keen for booting half of the staff at once though

and lot of those who dont code helps a lot when they are here

I think those that help should at least retain their titles, and if those who are not on the site anymore, I don't know if they really deserve the title.

i was talking about the staff actually. I've actually alerady booted those who were completly inactive and were almost certain to not post again, but i dont think others plan to leave.

I should get to work more on RL o.o

I haven't even made it to 1000 posts yet... I want to at least do that before I leave for good... and I don't want to leave for good anyway...
