Timer Signature
« on: July 23, 2010, 08:11:42 pm »
Is there anyway to create a signature that will tell a person how many days/hours/etc. are left till an event?  I'm wanting to put one up for the next SAD alpha that's coming next week

The only way I can think of is like have the image be hosted somewhere and have a php script that modifies the image every so often.

Ya, I think Kerm would be your best shot. Eeems might know something too.

I am pretty sure there are many of that stuff on the Internet and I have come across one at a time.
Google and you will find. Not sure if they are as cooler as the Kerm one. Unfortunately I don't remember the right keywords for the search... :(

I looked on google, and am having trouble finding one small enough, or for that matter one at all.

Thanks, everyone!  I'll ask Kerm on Cemetech

Hm... good idea for a new function of my userbar site.
Also plan on revamping the 'progress' function.

However, I may not have time to get this done anytime soon so hopefully Kerm can help out.

Just make sure it won't slow down people computers when scrolling, like Osu userbars do, sometimes (especially JoeYoung's on UTI forums)

Hm... do you have a link to that userbar?

I can't think of a reason why it would slow down scrolling any since all the script's work will be done when the page loads and you'd have to refresh to see any updates like normal.

It seems fine now, though. My guess is that there was a bug/glitch with Osu website for a while, causing the slow down. It was weird considering I am on a i7 processor with 8 GB of RAM. Even yours slowed down too, for a few days
