ok, I'm going on vacation starting on either sunday or monday, so I'll be gone for a few weeks starting then. I'll try to check back in when I can, but I probably won't be able to that much...
just so you guys know, I'm not gone or anything

to Osoyoos B.C. to visit my Oma and Opa, then along the Oregon coast to visit my older brother, then I'm going to a near a small town in lower Alberta I believe

lol, well they are dutch, so that's why I call them that, but I call my other set Grandma and Grandpa

there are other places in the world (usa, australia, south afrika,...) where there are smaller groups of people talking Dutch :p

No...
I mean that as a reference to several calculator users leaving for vacation during summer and never returning in the TI community afterward. They usually move on in their lives. I guess this is caused by the extended amount of time away from both calculators and the TI community so they sort-of lose interest as they try new stuff. Summer is a period at risk for that, simply because most people have no classes, meaning their calculator's only use is pretty much just gaming. So far, over Omnimaga, things doesn't seems as bad as the previous years, though.

I think it depends of the people, though. A lot of people stop calc stuff during summer, even if they have no camping or stuff that prevents them any access to it or the usage of it. They just try or do other stuff. You can easily tell that these people don't care about the TI community THAT much. They're usually the ones who do the least amount of programs (if any finished games at all) and the ones who leave faster.
Some will argue that calculators haven't evolved enough in the past years. However, when calculators stopped evolving after the 84+ release in 2004, we didn't have xLIB, we didn't have Celtic III, Omnicalc was barely useable, ASM programmers didn't have the ressources they got today, which in turn, helps newer ASM coders. Now we have more tools, they just need to be used to their full potential like we did back then with Zapi, Zsprite, Flash Gordon, Zflash, CODEX and BTools. (which, in turn, could trigger the making of an even better BASIC lib or even the making of a more simple, yet less limited programming language. BBC Basic is awesome, but like every other alternative languages, BBC doesn't fix the memory issues any RPG project will encounter in it)

Most of my posts on forums (or at least UTI and TI|BD) are for helping people and answering questions, which get me thinking about other calculator things (usually my projects). So when summer comes and all the forums die down, there aren't many problems for me to work on and so calculators aren't as prominent in my mind.
I'm probably the odd one on this though ::)

I just like to program games for calculators :)
I know other languages, and I make games in them as well, but for some reason I have not yet 100% figured out, I really like calculator programing. So I don't think my post count has deteriorated at all this summer. If anythink, its gone up, becausse now I have more time ;D
