Weirdness: they have those? And haven't thrown them away? If you sell one on ebay, you are not a programmer.

The thing is that you have to look for articles that do NOT end weekends or in evenings. Else everybody will be online to bid for it.

That is a expensive mattress O.OIndeed. I think the liquidation company wanted to make as much money as possible when bringing the item into the closing store (near the end we started seeing plenty of arriving stock that the store never carried before the closing sale started, mainly from Home Outfitters and The Bay), so they probably marked up the price high enough so that after 80% off it's still the regular price.
On the other hand that kinda sucks for people who live in North America and work from 8AM-5PM from Monday to Friday >.<. My favorite are auctions that end very late at night, such as 4 AM, on weekdays, because if sleeping is an issue, I can simply take a nap then wake up to bid on the item before going to bed again. By then, most people are in bed and only Europeans/Asians are waking up, so it only becomes a problem if the item ships worldwide.I followed some ebay deals for those for some time and got pretty lucky :):oA TI-81 for $5I got my TI-83+ in like perfectly new condition for 5€ :P

Not really a weird product per se, but on Ebay.co.uk, there's currently an auction for Game Boy Color and a game or two. The problem, however, is that we can see the seller's penis in one of the items pic. O.O
Not sure if this is why the highest bid is currently in the thousands of dollars
