So today I registered my courses for the upcoming Spring semester and I realized my schedule can be deemed worthy as that of an Omnimagian (Omnimogite? Omnimagii?? What's the correct term? :P). I also realized many of us are in college and universities and so I figured it might be nice to have a topic for us to share interesting courses we are taking.
Here are the courses I am registered for:
Computer Science II
Assembly Programming Language (x86)
Special Topics: Python Programming Language (XD)
Discreet Structures
So a good mix of Computer and Math subjects, with Assembly and Python (which I know more than a few people here use). Epicness. :P
Btw, what kind of problems can I expect from Discreet Structures? I'm just wondering.
-
My years are divided in semesters (I and II) which are in turn divided in periods(a and b)
My courses for this period(Ib) are:
Linear Algebra I
Thermodynamics
Mechanics I
Relativity I
In IIb I'll get an introduction to Python :D
-
I'm taking AP Computer Science.
I think I'm the only freshman who's in it :P

I would have been in that, but my school doesn't offer it till next year.
I'm in AP Calculus BC and AP Physics C

How is that possible as a freshman? O.O/me kneels before ruler's boss math skillz
-
I take Discrete Math.
-
I'll be taking Complex Analysis, Real Analysis, Linear Algebra, and French IV, though on the side I will be trying to learn German and Spanish. If I start to get those under control, I plan to start Mandarin, Arabic, Latin, and Russian in the fall.
-
Wow, awesome Xeda! :D *Edit* What resources are you using for your language studies?
-
I'm done with school... No more... EVER!!

For now, Memrise and the internet (so that I can look up new words to create new sentences. I can now say, "Where are my pants?" in four languages >.>

Awesome. :D Just checked out Memrise. It looks pretty sweet. ^^

Donde estan mis pantalones?
On topic, that site does look pretty awesome.

A pretty intelligent lady that I know suggested it and I got hooked fast o.o It's like brain candy or something.
-
Eh my classes are weak compared to you guys.
I have Spanish 3 Honors , AP Computer Science(in Java), AP Chemistry, American Literature, Analysis Honors, U.S. History, and lastly Beginning Piano.
-
I take Discrete Math.
Of course, I take 7 other courses :) :
Intro to Programming
Advanced (not AP!) World Civ
Advanced English 2
AP Chemistry
Independent Research
Advanced Spanish 3
AP Statistics

What's Independent Research?
At least at my school it is where you research a topic and create some kind of presentation on it for the end of the year working with a teacher of the subject.

Similar to that in my school, but you have to complete a project on that research.

AP German
AP Macro Economics
AP Literature (Oh boy! :( )
AP Physics
AP Calculus BC (The fun continues!)

Don't :( :P
Once you get to Goethe, you're in for a treat~

Goethe isn't that bad :P But the literature of the 19th century is really boring (at least what we read).

That's quite a global list, what do you do? I study astronomy (first year is just physics though) now (and did ancient greek at college). Ancient Greek is awesome :D I'm currently translating the Illias. The Odysee was for my exam, but I'll translate it again :P I like to have my own :3

I don't know how the school system where I live compares to yours or that of the US, but Latin and Greek are the most important things from that list, French and German second most important and the rest is rather unimportant.
