How was that one made? Honestly, it's pretty ugly D:It was made with Paint Shop Pro 5 for a school computer science intro class. Note that I barely had much computer knowledge at the time, though. The reason why I still use it as avatar today is for nostalgia purpose. The blue Omnimaga logo dates back in 2004.

Mine is an Amy Rose sprite from the sound test screen in Sonic Advance. I animated it myself using GIMP, then I recolored her using my favorite colors (purple hair and skin and navy blue dress and boots).This looks very nice :O

Meishe91 while I think that Snake X generalizes too much when talking about Runescape and Ashbad remark is a bit narrow-minded, I think there are more polite ways to defend a game and I personally think those games are made to keep people addicted, which is the bad part of them. Also, a bad community can make a game kinda bad if it only relies on the community. Starcraft 1 multiplayer mode is nice but the online community kinda ruins it, as practically everyone there loves to call people names, troll or hack. Halo 3 community isn't as bad in-game, but outside the game it's shit. Go post a Youtube video of you playing Halo 3: I bet you'll disable comments pretty quick. Some games unfortunately attracts bad groups of people so it's obvious that someone will criticise the community of a game if he had nothing but bad experiences with it. It's kinda like the TI community. If you join #tigcc and everyone there starts insulting you for using BASIC, even the admins, you will not really have a positive opinion of that community.
Also about game addictions, my bro got addicted to a MMORPG once and spent lots of money in its online store. At one point I went close to having to pay the entire rent instead of just half of it. We tried to help him for a while but to no avail. We ended up being forced to block the game IP on my router and password-protect the router admin panel. Now he's fine and controls himself very well, but I sure had to deal with lots of trouble because of his addiction. In some cases you even warn people to be careful to not play too much and they won't listen. There are multiple things or people that can be responsible of such addiction too.

It's the "LINE 1111 EMULATOR" error message. It's a crash of some sort, but the calc doesn't auto RAM clear, so it just sits there with that black bar across the screen until you reset it.
But, I took it in TiEmu, which has a smaller display screen than the LCD on the actual calc, so that's why it's a little small.

On the TI-Nspire in 84+ mode it's worse, because you have to do a combination to delete the entire memory (RAM and archive instead of just RAM) and if you forgot the combination, you need to reinstall the entire OS...

Journey to Babel... I remember the name of that episode, but I can't remember which one that was about...I never saw the episodes because I do not like TV series much and I do not have cable TV anyway. I don't watch TV so I never bothered getting cable/satellite. I used to love the old movies, though. I saw the first one, The Wrath of Khan, Search for Spock and my favorite one The Voyage Home. I saw parts of the Final Frontier but not very much. After that they quit airing the movies at reasonable hours over here and I fell out of the loop. I also saw Star Trek Nemesis and the new one that occured before the others too, although I didn't like Nemesis as much as the first 4 movies. I need to re-watch them again at one point.
The old star treks were excellent in my opinion, they were exciting and had a good lesson. One of my favorites is "A piece of the action" where they go to that planet that is living in a 20's gangsta lifestyle.

Not necessarily a bandwagon. You can't just say "Oh, 1 person can rate this down, but no more." If someone thinks a post is offensive, they should rate it down disregarding what other people did. Same with rating things up. So if you get a -3 on a post, that means three individual people saw your post, didn't like it, and rated it down.
But that's a good point, too: We shouldn't rate people up or down solely because someone else already did it. That would defeat the whole purpose of a rating system. Rate a post based on its quality, not because you notice someone else rated it.

though, I find it offensive that most of the people who rated me down are just going on a silence strike.
I tend to take the rating system extremely lightly.
Of course I don't Uprate/downrate every single post. But I do it if I have stronger than normal feelings about the content.

Still doesn't make sense because it sounds like "Prepare for the return of the world." RET is RETurn, as in returning control to wherever a routine was called. It could be used to quit a program, end a subroutine, or (in hackish code) jump somewhere random. In fact, it's more a data/hardware routine than anything else -- it simply pops the value at the top of the stack into PC. The closest thing to an actual end is the .end command in TASM, which signals the end of the file, but yeah, I keep reading it as "return of the world" :P

My avatar is now random! It does something like Deep Thought's script but better: it gets the data directly from the database and the avatar folder. (Thanks to Netham45 for the original script I think, I added support for MySQL so it gets all the avatars and not just the ones from the avatar folder.)

You should try using a different program to resize images (such as Paint.NET), Paint doesn't do a good quality job of it.

Personally I don't like changing avatar too often. Your avatar defines a big part of what you are on Omninaga as it is the only "visual indication" of a particular user. It gets a bit jumbled if it changes often.

I made a program that generates a Sierpinski's Triangle, but then I made it map all of the points in the triangle to a circle instead. I had a fun time yesterday working out how to even do that, but it is a 1-1 map, too, and warps it nicely :)

No, Zelda is the princess that you save and Link is the generic name for your character, although a lot of the games will ask for your name instead.

As for the background, colored or transparent is quite the same as long as the chosen color is a plain color (read, not a gradient or something) so make it transparent if you want.

Did you turn off "show user avatars and signatures" too? I did, some were just too long :-\Yeah this is why there were unnoficial rules against large sigs at one point. Try to be careful though, lol. Safety during such extreme sports is important. I never skydived myself, but it seems pretty intense and cool. The only time I went in the air was when I was 13 and went to the Air Cadets. One weekend they made us fly as passenger, one by one, in some sort of yellow sailplane and it was pretty fun, especially the "rollercoaster" part of the flight. The landing was pretty rough, though. :PIt is definitely the most awesome thing I've ever done, but yes don't worry, I'm very safety conscious with it and always looking to learn more about how to avoid fatal accidents, etc. That sounds cool!
